The amount of talent in the Natural Born Thrillers

I think the only think that made Mike Sanders "Above Average" was his skills on the mike. During the end of WCW The Thrillers were a group of young wrestlers consisting of Mike Sanders, Sean O'Haire, Mark Jindrak, Shawn Stasiak, Reno, Chuck Palumbo, and Johnny the Bull (that's killer spelled backwards). Reno I think had a run with Big Vito and the Bull before WCW folded and Jindrak is doing well in Japan and Mexico. Palumbo had the most time in WWE and had a couple of feuds but didnt really get that far. If they werent stuck under the Flair, Nash, Hogan backstage shenanigans, who do you think could have went on to the main event?

They were great.... they were all green at the time, but if WCW hadn't have been going down the shitter so quickly and they had the option to let all of them fully develop, I feel confident in saying that we would be seeing quite a few of them having a decent run in WWE

All the ineptitudes of WCW management aside, they all could have made a decent run.

Natural Born Thrillers could be seen as the very early prototype Nexus: a bunch of relative nobodies thrown together for one collective push.

Mike Sanders was good on the stick... not suprising since he was, legit, a stand up comedian. Given the penchant for breezing guys through the Power Plant, it's a wonder he had a handle on the limited in-ring skills he did. (Think about how green Goldberg was looking on his first match vs Demott, and subtract the physical presence). On the job training, however, would have made him better, and his mic work would have opened up the doors to have more matches, not that he needed to actually work matches since he was the mouthpiece of the seven.

Jindrak and O'Haire were a decent tag team of big men until they were split up in some abrupt half assed feud where WCW decided all the tag teams needed internal strife and the partners team with everyone else's tag partners, Mark paired with Meat Stasiak, and the team of Sean & Palumbo carried over into WWE for a bit.

Perfect Event, or the other two from the above equation, had moderate success before as singles competitors. Chucky had this Marc Mero meets Jimmy Snuka thing going on, and Shawn made a bit of a name for himself by being second generation jobber in WWF/E before becoming the *Henning rip-off in WCW. They could have continued a singles climb, if not for the afore mentioned hard-on WCW had with tag teams... kinda the opposite of WWE right now... there were just too many tag teams, even if they did two sets of tag belts (World Tag and Cruiserweight Tag). The tag teams and stables using the freebird rule just about outnumbered the singles roster!

Reno had a unique look (and I swear he looks like Knocko from Higher Learning... can anyone confirm this?) and made "The Roll of The Dice" (a.k.a. CrossRhodes) look devistating.

JTB was the dumb muscle... which is kind of ironic seeing as how he was one of the all around smallest guys in the stable. He was a staple in WCW's hardcore division.

Assuming back office politics weren't as they were, and WCW wasn't bought out by Shane in kayfabe or Vince for real... hell, even if Bischoff was able to make that Mandaly Sports deal, I think these guys could have been major players in the re-tooling of World Championship Wrestling.

All seven.

*I misspell Hennig everytime it comes up in my posts, usually as a joke about naming rights. This time, however, I think I may be inaccurate, as I believe they actually referred to Curt properly as *Hennig* at this point in his WCW tenure... but it hasn't always been the case.

I never really understood why Roll the Dice was so popular. In reality all it was is turning the guy over.

Cody and Test did it pretty good. I saw Reno do it enough times to say that I don't think he did it very good at all.

i liked Natural Born Thrillers in WCW.

Mike Sanders was indeed 'above average'...well on the mic, he would of been a great mouthpiece to a monster heel. wasn't sure about his in-ring skill coz i didnt watch much WCW.

Enjoyed both Jindrak and O'Haire's work as a tag team, always a fan of Sean O'Haire and i thought Jindrak was pretty decent IMO. WWE messed with both of them.

Perfect Event.....I wasn't a big fan of Shawn Stasiak..once a jobber always a jobber. Chuck Palumbo, lot of potential and a good look.

Reno didn't do much for me, to me he was more of an addition IMO.

Johnny the Bull or RELLIK was all muscle and nothing special except for press slamming Rikishi.

Idk who would be the main eventer out of all of them but I know Mike Sanders would be centre of attention.

Out of the seven I think Sean O'Haire had the best chance of becoming a main-eventer, and if I recall WCW were pretty high on the guy towards the end.

O'Haire and Jindrak as a team were incredible. Both of them were big guys that were amazingly fast and atheletic. I miss those days.

Jindrak and O'Haire were a great team considering they were so green, definately the best two guys in the stable. If they hadn't ruined O'Haire's devils advocate gimmick by sticking him with Piper he could have had a good singles run in WWE.

Sanders was "above average" on the mic but he wasn't amazing. Would have made a better heel manager than a wrestler. The rest of those guys sucked.

Yea, watching those videos makes me miss all the hype around Sean O'Haire before he debuted and did nothing. Kind of sad too. They wasted what could've been a helluva talent for them.

It was the Test Drive.

I saw Showtime Percy Watson do that Rock DDT in his first victory on NXT. The Rock stopped doing it after he became the Corporate WWF Champion.
