He recently was reported to be frustrated and upset about the direction and status his character has been for a while.

Initially he was promised a nice push after agreeing to do the very long loosing streak angle as a way for a long term buildup but it lost momentum badly after the initial couple of weeks when he moved to RAW.

MVP really should have been something more, but there's been problems with creative, and MVP's role as a face has been...watered down, to say the least. I'd give the man a refresh and have him turn heel in the very near future. Have him become World Heavyweight Championship obsessed.

On the list of people who could be on the way out I don't think it's wrong to put MVP on that list. He has been bland and worthless for a few years minus the first few weeks of his face turn when he came to RAW. Since that died off he has been BORING and repetitive and lacking any freshness. Oh well i guess he's staying for now it looks.

and MVP doesn't have charisma? Do yall remember that feud with Benoit? the Hardy Feud? MVP even managed to make Mark Henry Entertaining. The only problme MVP had was that wack assed overdrive finisher. He had a great heel finisher with the Drive By Kick, and even the Play of the Day. It sucks that talents like him and Morrison get shat on.

If the WWE paid attention to the tag team and intercontinental belts this wouldn't even be an issue. Hogan dominated the heavyweight title scene in the 80's but that didn't matter because the IC title was very much in contention with guys like Savage, Warrior, Steamboat, Rude, and Perfect battling for it. Nowadays, when you put the midcard titles on guys who are green, let it go undefended like the did with the Miz for awhile, or let the champ get buried after winning it like they did with Bryan when Sheamus came out and beat the hell out of him, those titles are cheapened in the fans eyes and the characters holding them or competing for them don't matter as much.

I think MVP is someone who, like Elijah Burke, Christian, and R Truth, would benefit greatly from going to TNA. He would be a definite main eventer and while I'm not the biggest fan of TNA, they do seem to have a knack for giving underused WWE talent a chance to shine although it comes at the expense of their originals at times unfortunately.

MVP's push in WWE has been at a stalemate for quite some time now, which has left fans puzzled as to why the superstar has not been given a better spot in the company.

On the other hand, however, MVP's past ultimately limits him. With the political environment as it is in WWE at the moment, the fear is that if the company pushes MVP too high it could prove to be detrimental should anyone decide to criticize WWE for hiring a convicted felon.

Additionally, WZ has been told that Vince McMahon doesn't like MVP as a heel, and given MVP's past the only way a true heel turn could work for him would be if creative went all the way with the turn and made light of his time spent in prison. Given WWE's current PG setting, that idea is highly unlikely. While it's true that MVP's jail time has been mentioned on WWE TV in the past, it was well before WWE made the full move to a PG rated product.

From what WZ has been told, there is no one singular incident which has accounted for MVP's lack of push, nor is there any heat on him for any specific reason. "This is not a Matt Hardy situation," said a WWE creative team member, "MVP is not being punished nor does he have any heat on him, it's more a matter of creative being limited in what it can pitch for MVP given his past and WWE's current political landscape."

WZ has been told that MVP is set to meet with Vince McMahon within the coming days to address both his current situation and his future, so we will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.

I think MVP would be fine if they just turned him heel again. He probably wouldn't get much further up the card, but at least he'd have something new to do instead of the same old routine from the past 2 years or so

I can see that being the case, though. I think the best way to go about it is to really play forward the reform thing. MVP as a babyface could really work if they pushed him as a guy who was stuck in a rut, but then found out he was good at something and made A LOT of money doing that. Give him some of his ego back, let him dress nicely, etc.

It's fair enough that the company may not want to give him a World Title right now, but you can build up MVP to being a contender, or have him in a few memorable feuds. A big problem with MVP is that his feuds often seem to be so...watery. I'd like to see a deeply engaging feud for MVP. One with CM Punk would have been awesome.
