writing your own lyrics
Why is it that artists now get shit for not writing their own music, but artists from the 50's and 60's don't? Some of the most prolific acts of the past like Buddy Holly and Elvis worked with a team of writers and some never wrote a song at all.

Now a days you'll have millions of people discussing one topic so you get to hear everyone's opinion weather you like it or not because of the power of the internet. Back then, your opinion would not really travel further than your circle of friends.
