I like this match. I came in and voted on my first instinct, which happened to be for CM Punk. I remember being a huge RVD mark back in the ECW days though. I was soooooooo excited when I went to Invasion and got to see him live for the first time against Jeff Hardy. He's given me some great memories, and he'll always have a spot in my heart.

That said, I still don't regret my vote for Punk.

RVD just seems to be going through the motions the last few years, havent really enjoyed him since his run on WWECW came to an end. Gotta go with Punk.

Feel like RVD's gonna be penalized for his TNA run which makes no sense to me. Guy was elite for over a decade but people will only focus on the past year.

Tough Call but I went with Punk, He sounds far more natural in promos than RVD ever did. I always found RVD a bit selfish in the ring as well.

I never seen Punk have a match like RVD vs Jerry Lynn.Even the Samoa Joe trilogy wasn't as good.Plus some of Rob's old promos were the funniest shit on tv.RVD "The" Whole Fuckin show is my pick. Punk is really freakin awesome too though.This was the closest poll in my mind so far.

tough match up for me as well..... CM Punk's recent work has been excellent, but RVD put on some great matches in his time with ECW and WWE/ECW......after about 5 minutes of thinking, I'm going Punk

Tough choice since both are wrestlers I really like and can put on entertaining matches. I ended up going with Punk since he's more well-rounded overall as a wrestler compared to RVD.

Both were good at wrestling with RVD better at high flying moves and Punk better as a character and promos.

RVD could have been even bigger in the WWE had he not killed off his title reign too quickly with drug problems and WWE waiting too long to push him even though the fans were behind him since his debut.

Went with Punk but this one was extremely close in the end thow I think Punk just brings a little more to the table in terms of all around appeal.

I fucking love RVD. Hell, even my personalised car number plates read RVD420. But I'm going to have to vote CM Punk. He's probably one of the "newer" guys that possibly deserve a spot in the TPWW HOF.

I never saw RVD in the original ECW, and feel that he has been highly overrated since then. Never really enjoyed him in the WWE.

CM Punk since his heel turn has been the man, though.

This is really hard, because I have to take into consideration how I would have felt about RVD if I were asked this question earlier in the decade.
Not that anything he's done discounts any of that, but I'm more enthusiastic about Punk atm and in recent years, which probably has an impact on how I rate them currently.
