Cody needs more time but in terms of wrestling skills and promos, Goldust is better than the Dashing one. Character-wise, both are pretty equal but Goldust works out well as both a heel and face.

Yes, he has. I'm not saying Cody is on the road towards becoming world champion or anything like that, but with consecutive wins on other midcard contenders, a weekly segment which he even got to do at TLC, and a growing heat from the fans, he's been doing a lot more lately.
