He has been running that youth soccer academy — although I don't know how personally involved he is — in Ohio for years, and it took a terrible hit with the recession. It was kind of a crazy business model, if you look into it.

I've heard that he is pretty likely to re-join MLS next season, which means his yearly income will probably fall to around $100,000. I'm sure he will be fine though. If he didn't burn bridges with US Soccer following his international retirement in 2002 he will surely be able to get a "normal" job there.
