So what would happen if Ric left TNA? (last anticipated Flair match)

I am loving the fact that majority of TNA was making fun of Slick Ric and were really pissed when they allowed him to come back after his little tantrum. Ric Flair still believes that he is the biggest draw in professional wrestling and that people only want to see him when they go to wrestling shows. We all know this is not true (at least for 99% of the audience) so if TNA said enough is enough and gave him the old heave-ho out the door what effects would it have on TNA. Positively, it would save them a huge paycheck and they could write it out storyline wise that "they" took him out. Can anyone think of a negitive that could happen by getting rid of him?

Side note, when was the last time you honestly looked forward to a Ric Flair main event match? The last one for me was at Uncensored 1999 when it was Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair in a barbwire steelcage first blood match

I cant see anything bad in getting rid of Flair. He'd just latch back onto a WWE Legends/ appearance contract again anyways.

Also, Flair/ Sting final Nitro. Gotta agree there.

Flair needs to come back to WWE. He's too good for TNA. In my eyes, he was always best suited for the E. He's best suited as a comedic/respectable character in the E

At his age right now, he's a fucking character

The last time I cared about him was Wrestlemania 24, and that was the first time in a long time.

Nothing against Flair, he's a legendary wrestler with an amazing legacy, but to be honest he hasn't aged all too well, and I really can't stand seeing him on camera anymore.

Flair leaving TNA would certainly not be a bad thing, besides the money they'd save and the fact that more time can focus on younger talent, I honestly can't think of any negatives here.

The match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24 was also great. I remembered the very first time they met one-on-one in December 1991 on Prime Time Wrestling. Those two came a very long way since then.

This, but i agree with the Naitch in that hes better suited to the WWE, used very sporadically on camera he could actually be useful again.

I'm in the minority I know, but I have enjoyed Flair in TNA much more than I did in most of his last WWE run. In the WWE he always seemed like a lacky or an afterthought, and I can understand why he was portrayed that way, but when he first showed up in TNA they seemed to make him a big deal and his promos were mostly entertaining, something I hadn't seen from him in a long time.

Occasionally he would have a moment in the WWE that would make me care, but those moments were few and far between, on Impact his segments were generally one of my favorite parts of the show. However ever since this whole Immortal fiasco (or really even earlier with Foley/EV2.0) he has started to give me that same feeling I got from him on Raw. He's there screaming, but I'm not caring.

As far as matches go, he's probably had 4 total that I have had any interest in since the last Nitro and those were all WWE. His promos were what kept me paying attention to him, but lately even those seem to be on the shows just so they can say they have Ric Flair on tv. At this point I enjoy seeing him for nostalgia sake, but I don't think I would miss him all that much if he was gone.

Ric Flair worked last night's TNA live event in Glasgow, Scotland as he accompanied Beer Money to the ring for their match against The British Invasion. When Flair arrived to the arena, he apologized to the locker room for the incident earlier this week in Ireland.
I know he's a legend and all and I respect his work, but I don't think I would've accepted his apology just because he clearly doesn't care based on his history of tantrums.

I think Flair leaving TNA and re-signing with the WWE would be pretty cool, actually.

In the WWE, Flair could help a lot of guys get over as a manager. I'm just imagining him tearing down Daniel Bryan for not "being The Man" and having all this skill but not being the huge star he can be. Managers can be a tremendous thing.

Leaving TNA would also save them a fair bit of money, but leaves the Fortune angle unfinished. But that has an upside. Have Flair try to kick Styles out of the group, but AJ is all "What the fuck, man? I AM TNA!" Fortune then turn on Flair, beat him down, and then Fortune regains their old vision: TNA is about the guys who helped build it, not these old guys who waltz in and think they own the place. Fortune then take up the fight against Immortal as a face group. BEER! MONEY!
