I think terrible theme musdic will hurt any wrestler no matter how good they is.
For example, X Factor couldve been a great stable but they was ruined with that horrible theme music that DID NOT fit them at all. |

I hereby declare that this thread is now about Alberto Del Rio.
Really digging his Dos Caras Jr theme he used before he went to TV. |

I also think its mostly the 5 or so seconds of the entrance theme. I mean would Stone Cold have gotten some of the loud pops he did without the glass shatter or the rock without his catch phrase at the beginning, kanes pyro blast, the first few seconds of ortons theme...i think a good opening is key...just my interpretation

Always preferred "Shooter" to his later theme. Has a more intense feeling to it.

The opening to themes is critical. I've always preferred something like Rock's "IF YA SMELLLLL" or Austin's glass shattering. Even Hogan's Real American has that feel to it. It really helps during run-ins.
Triple H has this both ways. He has the Game guitar riff for full entrances and "It's all about the game" for run-ins. It's critical to at least be able to have something almost jarring for the big pop. |

I honestly feel that the recent momentum in the WWE with its young stars could coincide with some of the best themes the company has had since the latter 90's. There was a period of time where the top stars stuff was stale (i.e. Cena), or just utter junk. They also had themes that rocked and replaced them with worse ones (i.e. Batista imo)
But just a quick list here of people who I feel have awesome themes that are now stars. -Sheamus -Nexus/Barrett -Drew McIntyre -Evan Bourne -Miz -Del Rio -Kofi -Orton -Ziggler -Cody Rhodes -Santino With that said there are a few that stink now and even hurts their credibility. I'm looking at Ted DiBiase, or the new Corre who's new theme I think stinks. I also believe Morrison's theme does him no favors, but that's a whole other discussion of a guy who just needs to shed the cheesy 70's rock star gimmick and be a bad ass. |

I was a fan of the DEEDLEDEEDLEDEEDLEDEELDEDEEEEEEE in Miz's first theme. Was also great for interruptions.

The intro is definately what makes of breaks it. A good opening can make negate a lackluster song, for instance, Austin's theme was honestly just a pretty generic guitar riff, but the first 3 seconds are what made it work. Same with Lesnar, Mankind, etc.
