Punk is ruining Nexus

I'm sorry but I have to say this, since Punk has taken lead control over Nexus, it seems that he is now letting Nexus go the same way his own stable went.. FUCKING NO WHERE!!!!!...

I know a lot of you hate the Nexus angel but seriously it can be written a lot better... I mean Nexus helping out Kane fucking unexpected .

Even the new t shirts suck.

Punk is giving the Nexus new direction. They were a band of rookies trying to make a name, which they did...but the biggest dog in the yard clipped their tail. The members became "lost", and being young and impressionable, Punk used his wiles to make them his own personal cult. Makes complete sense, and after the Cena/Barrett feud ended, the stable was kinda dead in the water.

Long and the short of it, I disagree wholeheartedly.

The whole thing is kinda iffy.

The Nexus thing was tailor-made for Wade Barrett and fit him like a glove, but the way they booked the end of the feud with Cena pretty much killed him and the group off.

Forcing them to make a change, so CM Punk goes in. I am interested in what he does, but he just doesn't seem as natural a fit for the group as Barrett was. Then they were forced to make more changes, as they had to drop the Cena feud for the Orton one.

I'm liking more the new tone of the group since with Wade, it was more of them being a bunch of rebellious rookies who hated being disrespected. Wade was the mastermind since he would kick out members who tried to oppose him or were weak.

Punk's version is much more sinister since Punk demands beatings and people to be physically injured while using his promos as a way to manipulate the group's "faith" in a plan.

Unlike Wade, Punk also recruiting himself Ryan almost as a bodyguard just in case anyone tried to oppose him internally or externally.

I don't think Punk exactly has a lot to work with. Otunga, Huskey and McG are not over at all. Mason Ryan has potential. The others have impact on the level that Buff Bagwell had in the nWo. Basically a t-shirt filler.

I mean, did they only just realise Huskey Harris is actually physically difficult to watch? It's actually repulsive... how were they ever going to get his guy over, when nearly ever other wrestler on the roster is ripped?

Don't blame CM Punk for it. I think they're trying to have him be this sinister Reverend Jim Jones/ cult type figure with a group of guys who just aren't cut out for that role and because the "Nexus" as a whole was never pushed like that I think some people are having a hard time accepting them as such now.

HOWEVER, I think if Nexus had debuted from the beginning as this group of eager rookies committing seemingly random attacks with Barrett as the supposed leader but later revealing that the higher purpose he answers to is Punk (perhaps via Punk being on Team WWE at Summerslam and then turning on them), the group would be over huge, especially if Barrett starts to resist Punks directions and ends up getting exiled. Then they could do all the beatings, tests and punishment angles with Barrett reforming his own group. We could have had a decent Wrestlemania set up between Punk and the exiled Barrett which to be honest is a match I'd much rather see over Barrett & Taker

And I have no problems with CM Punk as the leader of the "New" Nexus, but I really dispise the name of the group being the New Nexus.

I didn't hate the Nexus angle... I just hated that they were made to come across as boobs and that they became wrapped around Cena. Punk, I like as a character, but I think it was a bad pairing to associate him with Nexus. During Raw last night, I found myself thinking that I actually miss Wade Barrett.

I think CENA is ruining NEXUS.

Noone wants to see the reused storyline of CENA vs all of Nexus anymore.. Way overdone..

Atleast with Sting vs NWO, Sting was like Randy Orton and was a strange individual who was unpredictable. I'd rather see Orton punting them backstage.

Honestly, I'd rather see Nexus vs Corre Nwo vs Wolfpac style.

I don't get why everyone spazzes out about the Nexus guys being treated like jobbers when that's what they are. They're rookies going up against main eventers. It was abundantly clear that the talent of the group was Barrett and Gabriel, and shockingly those were the two guys who got pushed.

I said it the other day, to me, Nexus belongs to Wade Barrett. I like the way it started, but when Heath and Gabriel left...the whole Nexus thing went away for me. Would have prefeered Punk to be in a SES dealie again.

personally, i enjoy punk leading nexus more than leading the SES. you can only harp on "drug free" for so long before it's going to become x-pac heat. with this group, he can still be a manipulative, conniving, and sinister leader while getting heat for attacking every face with a legitimate reason. this is only going to make punk look stronger, and has the potential to do the same for anybody in nexus who is worth a damn.

I totally agree with you. I just wish it was a new name.

The fact is...I love Punk, he is really great at what he does, and the fact that I hate his character now is a good thing.

Haven't had someone I love to hate in a long time.

What ruined it is that we dont need both Nexus and Corre. It should be one group and they should have had Punk join and then try to take control, turning all the members of it against Barrett leading to Barett going single.
