Best Season of NXT?
Since its been a while from the last Best season/finale of NXT poll and Season 4 just ended, what season do you think was the best of NXT?
Season 4 winner (spoiler tag for those who haven't seen the final episode) : SPOILER: show Season 5 is supposed to start next week although unlike past seasons, WWE didn't announce the competitors. |

Season 2 seemed to have more variety in their rookies.

Season 1 has the most Talent and the most successful winner by far. Also more actual wrestling and less challenges.

Gotta go with Season 1 just cause there was more focus on wrestling, not quite as many challenges, more importance in the Pro/Rookie dynamic, and the cast was one of the best (Season 4's is right up there too).
Just glad to see the show is going another season because from WWECW right on through to NXT, I've watched way more often than not and it would just feel weird not having something to watch on a Tuesday night for the first time in about 5 years. |

Season 1 seemed to have the best talent pool and has proved to have the best winner of the contest thus far.

Season 3. Because watching females degrade themselves in the sheer stupidity of the challenges, and the announcers ripping the show apart made it entertaining.
To be fair, though, it is the only season I watched in its entirety. To its credit, I tried watching the others and gave up. |

Season 1, and its not even close. It helps that the show was fresh, which gave every episode more of a must-see feel. The interactions with the pros were more interesting and involved (Bryan-Miz, Jericho-Barrett, Truth-Otunga, and Punk-Young stand out
Also had the most talented group (Bryan and Barrett are better than any of the other wrestlers in any season), and it helps that Season 1 of NXT gave rise to the Nexus angle. |

The thread is about NXT seasons, not "What was the set of most successful people post NXT"
Seriously though if you look at it:- Season 1: Cole hates the internet fans Season 2: Cole loved The Miz and Alex Riley Season 3: Cole evolves into the single most annoying person on WWE yet makes the whole season worth watching by himself Season 4: No Cole (NXT has served its purpose in developing Michael Cole) Michael Cole was the most successful person to come out of NXT, not Wade Barrett or Nexus. |

I liked Season 1 a lot more due to the right mix of pros with rookies and they developed feuds better than the other seasons (except for Clay-Curtis season 4 feud).
Season 2 had the prestige with the multiple second/third generation wrestlers but besides Kaval, I didn't like their characters and promoing. Kaval leaving shortly after winning the competition also hurt the season in the long run since it couldn't create a special moment like season 1 spawning the Nexus did. |
