A TNA feud that I would probably be really interested in

Robert Roode vs. James Storm -- Beer Money explodes

Beer Money, Inc. are without a doubt one of the greatest tag teams in modern wrestling history, but eventually they are going to get to the point where they cross a threshold and are just teaming together for the hell of it. Does anyone else think that a feud between James Storm and Robert Roode could be a really interesting feud for the company? Especially considering the long history between these guys as opponents.

I don't know to be honest with you....this is what happened when long-time tag teams split up and feud....it doesn't work.

They already seem to be running out of tag teams to face so you might just find out in the coming months how good the feud will be. As I recall though, the Chris Harris/James Storm feud wasn't that great.

They had a great match or two, I believe. I wouldn't do the usual tag team split, though. I actually got the idea from the TNA having a tournament thread, and I'd probably use that to split them:

Robert Roode and James Storm both enter some sort of tournament for a shot at the TNA Television Championship. They both get through the first round or whatever, but Roode ends up going further than Storm, and beats someone like Hernandez in the finals to win the whole thing. Leading up to Roode's title match (let's use the current champion, and say it's against Abyss), they tease jealousy between Roode and Storm, and Storm doesn't go officially on the record, but says that Roode had an easier time in the tournament or whatever, but he's happy for his partner; Beer Money will never die, etc.

Abyss vs. Roode happens at the next PPV, where there is surprisingly no interference from the moody Storm, and Roode manages to successfully break-out and wins his first singles title in TNA. James Storm comes out, and applauds his partner from the stage.

The next night on iMPACT!, Roode cuts a promo talking about how much it means to him to have finally made it to the top of singles competition, but he wants to bring out his tag team partner and friend, James Storm. Roode goes to talk to Storm, but Storm cuts him off and says that Roode doesn't need to say anything to Storm -- Bobby earned his title shot, and he beat an icon to become the TV Champion, and that is all that matters. This is Roode's moment, and he should have a beer to celebrate. Storm then cracks Roode on the head with a bottle, and beats him down viciously. Roode can even do a blade-job here, although TNA overuses them.

Storm gets on the mic over the bloodied Roode, and says that this is where he once would have said "Sorry about your damn luck," but this isn't about luck. Chance had nothing to do with Roode winning the title, and chance will have nothing to do with Storm taking it from him.

Over the next few weeks, you have Storm cut promos about how Roode and he were rivals when they were in America's Most Wanted and Team Canada, and then Roode offered him money to team with him. Because of Storm's prodigy-like abilities, Beer Money became the greatest tag team in TNA history. Roode used him, but Storm was the man who made the team, and he was happy with that arrangement. But he's not happy being used anymore. Storm says that on their worst day, the weakest American is better than the strongest Canadian. He starts calling TNA "the house that Jimmy built," and talks about how he is such an important part of TNA's history, and deserves to be treated as such.

Boom.....exactly how I have envisioned Roodes breakout. Breaking up Beer Money would be a painful process given their popularity, but it would have to be done. I suppose we could just wait and see Storm ever gets injured.....noooo...just kidding; wouldn't wish that on any wrestler. Not to mention, Storm is good as well. I just think Roode could be repackaged into a super heel for TNA.

I remember that feud as well. I say keep Roode and Storm as a team.

That's well booked but we've seen that kind of stuff before. I love most of the idea, up until Roode wins the title. On Impact! after Roode gets the title, he comes out alone to cut a celebration pomo to kick off the show. The Impact Zone would be popping their nuts off no doubt. He say's that it about time that his talent and his potential have finally come together and now there is nothing that will stop him. He is a member of the greatest tag team in TNA history, and now he will become the greatest singles champion ... EVER. He goes on about how this is the greatest thing he has accomplished by himself, but he owes it all to one person, and he calls out James Storm. Storm comes to the ring with drinking a beer, looking confused. Roode says without James Storm this could have never happened, and he has learned more from one of the greatest wrestlers in TNA history than anybody else. He says as soon as he won this title, that he knew the right thing to do, and he challenges James Storm to challenge him for his title, right here tonight on Impact. The fans pop and Storm seems to go cold, and the two have a staredown, followed by a handshake....

The match is the main event on Impact, they give it some good time and try to have the guys give a memorable match, however some interesting things happen in the match. There is a ref bump and soon after Storm hits his finisher on Roode, and gets well over a three count, but there is no ref. At one point in the match Storm, who is unable to put Roode away gets frustrated and starts stiffing the hell out of Roode, going a little berzerk, even to the point of getting disqualified for not releasing a submission past the ref's count because Roode is holding onto the rope. After the bell rings and the ref breaks up the hold, Storm collapses to the mat in horror at what he has just done. He quickly tends to the hurt Robert Roode who doesn't strike back but is very confused. Ref's and agents come from the back and pull Storm away from Roode as the show closes.

So Storm goes a little nuts and gets a d/q and immediately feels bad about it but the officials think he is nuts so they pull him away.

Next week on Impact, James Storm calls out Robert Roode and gives a long sincere apology explaining his actions. He says how he must have felt some jealousy due to Roode breaking out first, he says he is Beer Money for life and he won't let this Title or anything else change that. They hug and drink a beer, when out of nowhere Abyss runs in and beats the shit out of both of them, and we go to commercial. When we come back we learn that Abyss with challenge Robert Roode for the the TV title tonight on Impact.
Before the match we find Robert Roode knocked out and bloody on the ground. We cut to commercial. We come back and James Storm is being held back from Abyss in the back, he is screaming and going nuts, he gets a few punches in and Abyss does too. Eric Bischoff charges back and gets everybody to shut up. He says he won't have this crap, take it to the ring.

So James Storm challenges Abyss instead of Roode. Storm in babyface fashion pulls out the victory over Abyss, and avenges Roode's beatdown.

The next week while Roode is out injured. James Storm is named number one contender for the TV Title against Roode at the next PPV.

The next week Beer Money wins a good tag team match, putting over that they are friends and everything is cool.

At the PPV James Storm is beaten cleanly by Robert Roode in a classic opening contest. After the Match, they shake hands and drink a beer, they are doing their mic gimmick and right after "SORRY BOUT YOUR DAMN LU-" Storm smashes the bottle over Roods head...

Basically then they can have another month or more feud.

Not a bad idea. I thought that story was going to lead to Storm being revealed as Roode's true attacker.
