Underrated/Forgotten classic promos/segments
You know a lot of people talk about Austin's heel turn in 2001 as being a failure, I never saw it that way, Austin was amazing that year, his promo where he talks to Scotty 2 Hotty as if he was Kurt Angle is so intense, and yet no one really talks about it anymore, the promo starts at 8:40 of part 1 but the whole segment is worth watching. This promo has been etched in my memory since the day it aired for the first time, in fact it stayed with me for 10 years now and I hadn't even seen it a second time until today, that's how awesome it is.











This is also the best usage of "What!", and was one it's very first appearances too.

I think this one is fantastic and I haven't seen it brought up in any top promos/segment threads recently. I could be a crazy person cause Shawn rarely has/had an underrated segment.

Watched WM 7 last night and thought this was fantastically short and sweet. Trebek was featured a bunch during the entire show and actually did a magnificent job. But yeah this cracked me up, especially the last line.

Even funnier in the context that this was the show after the airing of the WWE edition of "The Weakest Link" where Booker fucked up which month Thanksgiving was in.

On the subject of Y2J and The Rock, I seem to recall a promo between the two which was more or less business as usual (heel Jericho talks trash, Rock comes out and makes fun of him) until the end. Rock cracks his jokes and goes into " if you smell...." and Jericho cuts him off, stating he won't be underestimated. One of the few times face Rock didn't get the last word and Jericho became a bit of a threat.

I believe that was the segment before the Royal Rumble 2002. That's one of my favorite promos.

Oh man a bunch of us were watching this on the Vault like last week or so, and we all just ended up talking about how that eclipses anything done today. Same with the promo On Raw after Mania

Fucking amazing from top to bottom, especially the pre-taped promos from Savage and Warrior. The whole world needs to be familiar with the words 'No sleep, no fooooood!'
