– According to sources within WWE, a change is expected to be made to a top tier WrestleMania match over the next few days. Many are speculating that Christian will be added to the World Heavyweight Championship Match between Edge and Alberto Del Rio.

Great idea, in my opinion. Christian is a top level talent and deserves recognition as such. A spot in a World Title match at WrestleMania will help to propel him toward that main event level, even if he's not victorious.

I still would've preferred to see him win MITB at Mania and cash in against either Edge of Del Rio, but adding him to the mix of the World Title match is just as good.

I love the idea, from a bias, subjective point of view. I do not, however, think it's that wise of a booking decision. I think it kind of takes away from the Del Rio/Edge build. Sure, Christian will add a lot to the match, but reality is, Del Rio won the Rumble. That shows WWE has faith in him going forward. He should win the title outright via clean win over Edge, IMO.

That said, I HOPE CHRISTIAN FUCKIN' WINS and drops the belt to Del Rio after a hot feud come SummerSlam. Though, Edge has done his fair share of Mania jobs in title matches the last three years (Taker, Cena and Jericho), so he could very well get the win, too.

Christian being a main eventer could mean a future title reign.

I'd hold off putting him in Mania's Del Rio vs Edge match since it either means Del Rio can win the title by pinning Christian or Christian turns in the match and costs Edge the title. Christian would join Del Rio's group if #2 happened.

I'd rather have Christian get a longer build up for a potential title feud than to just rush him into an existing feud or as a quick add-on. Let Del Rio go against Edge for at least the traditional ppv after Mania then decide if he turns on Edge or Edge snaps and turns on him (assumes Edge looses at Mania).

Their only putting him in so he jobs to ADR rather than having Edge lose thus leading to another feud between them which is the most likely scenario.

Ya that's what I figure as well. Edge/Del Rio at Extreme Rules and then maybe a Christian/Edge feud leading upto Summerslam or so. Edge had said he wanted this angle to happen before he thinks to retires.

I really hope this is going to happen. Christian being added to the World Title match makes sense and also increases the quality of the match in my opinion. If Christian is in the match and ends up winning the World Title that would be my markout moment of the year so far. To me nobody deserves a World title reign more than him.

Yeah maybe it's not Del Rio's year, which is okay he's got many more left in him. It will be epic either way. Christian no doubt was on a near year long roll as ECW Champion, but since his injury hasn't impressed me until the cage match with Alberto Del Rio, that was fantastic on all parts.

At first I wasn't for this idea, but he did beat him clean so the argument could be made...

I'm for it, I want Diesel in a match with Big Show, Kane, and Kofi against Nexus in exchange though.

No, a Christian title reign is not a must. I love Christian as much as the next guy, but outside of beating Del Rio in a cage match, where you don't even have to legitimately beat a guy, what has he done that would warrant a Mania title match and subsequent win/run? Just doesn't make sense.

I think having Del Rio win is the right move here. It's been a while since a Rumble winner actually won the title at that year's Mania (Taker at 23 I believe). This is a perfect year to do it. It's obvious Vince and co. want to push Del Rio and make him a huge star. Winning at Mania seals the deal for 2011, and possibly beyond.

Christian doesn't need to be involved in this match. Unfortunately, he returned from injury a little too late to have anything of importance going on for him as a stand alone character. If they want to have him involved in the title match to even the odds against Clay and Rodriguez, fine and dandy. He should not be main eventing, IMO. Save that match, and the build, for SummerSlam.

Mania should be Del Rio's time.

Book It:

Christian on the outside. Edge spears Del Rio. Edge stands up and gets hit with the Kill Switch. Christian looks around and chooses to pin Del Rio. Picks up the win.


Christian celebrates. The standard Edge stares down Christian and hands him the belt and raises his arm. Edge goes to leave and Christian hits him with the title and walks out looking somber.

RAW he comes out and says FINALLY he is out of edge's shadow. Leading to a 3 month feud leading to a TLC match.

OR

Edge could shake Christians hand and EDGE could turn on Christian ----but that is way more obvious.

I think this is a good idea. The build for Edge vs. Del Rio has been kinda flat, so I think Christian's involvement will spice it up. It makes sense to add him as he beat Del Rio clean in the cage match on Smackdown.

Not too excited if this happens. ADR should've won the title in a standard WrestleMania main event - a good, well paced, old school one on one match against Edge.

I just hope we don't get a formulaic three way, with two people working over each other with the third outside the ring.

I like Christian being in the match but I have rarely ever enjoyed a triple threat match.

I watched Smackdown and I'm not sure if I would say this is the case.

They were climbing out together, and Del Rio's arm got caught and a dazed Christian fell to the floor first.

Del Rio got his arm out and fell to the ground and got up and started throwing a hissy fit.
So it wasn't "dirty", but it was a fluke and not quite "clean."


I'm happy to hear this though. He deserves it and some form of Edge/Christian storyline is overdue.

I'd love for it to happen and I'd love for him to win it but it doesn't have to happen that way as long as they capitalize on the aftermath.

Christian could take the fall to ADR, which could lead to tension between the former brothers/partners and a fued between the two that should be used to put Christian over as a main event calibre performer. Chrstian could then go on to win the title.

I figured this was the plan from, the get go, I mean really Christian as been just as much a part of the feud with Del Rio as Edge has. From the get go it never seemed like Edge w/Christian vs Del Rio (with a Christian Cameo) as much as Edge and Christian vs Del Rio, hell sometimes it felt like Christian w/ Edge vs Del Rio

I doubt he'll win, but the fact he's in the World Title match at Wrestlemania would be great for Captain Charisma, and will hopefully lead to a (seriously deserved) main event run.
