Dominant Champs or Parity?
What do you guys prefer from a purely fan perspective?
Do you like seeing a single champ dominate his division ala GSP and Silva or the bouncing of titles like in the LHW division and Heavyweight division? |

Dominant champs. I feel it brings in more excitment when it's Silva or Liddell back then when they're headlining a ppv.

It's hard not to get amped for a fight when a seemingly unbeatable champ goes in.

But it's equally easy to get hyped for a LHW scrap cuz ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!! I appreciate both, but I love great rivalries more.

It depends on how "dominant" the champ is.
If it's GSP style level dominance where I don't think anyone is going to beat him, and he's totally outclassing everyone, it gets boring. I'm fine with a dominant champ as long as said champion has legitimate contenders to his belt. |

I guess it really does depend on how the champ "dominates." I get more hyped for Anderson Silva fights even though he's heads and shoulders above anyone in that division because I know it's damn near guaranteed that the fight will end in a KO or submission whereas with a GSP fight I know it's going to end with him apologizing for not finishing so it's harder to get amped for those even though GSP faces a higher caliber of opponent than Anderson in my opinion.

i probably prefer dominant champs though, with GSP being the exception. BJ penn was great. i think jones will be a dominant champ too. silva.and whoever wins between JDS and velasquez will probably be champ for a while too. tbh i think edgar is the only one who doesn't have it sewn up for a while. i haven't seen anything of cruz to say. |

Dominant champ sans GSP...I just always get the feeling that he can finish fights but plays it too safe...at least as of late. Give me Anderson's dominance over GSP's any day.
