He's one of the last who came in from the Invasion. I think the only other one (who wasn't released and came back) is Charles Robinson.

He's been pretty interesting lately. His stuff with Sin Cara was good and he was entertaining on NXT. Six months ago, I wouldn't have had a problem with this, but now that they're actually doing something with him...

I get the feeling that maybe Chavo did something to get released.

He seemed pretty loyal to the WWE and vice versa. (To the Guerrero family) Not long ago WWE.com did a story on him about how he was the last surviving guy from The Invasion, so it was all going good between both parties.

Given the date today, maybe he mentioned Benoit in some way, be it at a House Show, or at an interview or something. Yesterday was the fourth Anniversary of his death.

Kinda sad for him, I remember hoping his feud with Benoit over the US title back in 2006 would boost him up the card a little bit.

Either way, I'm a big fan of Chavo and hope he does well with his next endeavor. As someone said above, I kinda imagined he would be one of those people set for life in the WWE, but I could see him coming back in some shape or form in the future.

I'd assume he has the 90-day non-compete, and depending on when the taping is, he may be able to debut on the ROH TV show's first show.

Edit: Acutally, no, because it'd be up around 9/25, and the first episode is 9/24.
