Khali hype and tings
Why do WWE keep him?
And I know everyone says "because the indian fans love him", but indians am not blind, they can still see he is a shitty wrestler. Why would they be psyched that a giant slow mong is representing their country, doesnt make sense. I just dont know how he lasted so long tbh. Is anyone a fan of this guy. |

Jinder Mahal should go back to FCW.

Feel like most fans are willing to overlook a person's flaws if they have a connection to him.

He definitely serves a purpose. Like you said, he's got that Indian fanbase thing going, and he's also just an attraction. He's not the best athlete, but if a non-fan is channel surfing and sees a 7'2 (?) giant, they are more likely to check it out.
Also, if they want to try to get someone over without sending them to the main event, you take a shortcut and build Khali up for a few weeks and have that person face em. |

Vince is always gonna want that huge freak of nature. There was Andre then Big Show and now Khali. These big guys don't last forever so part of the reason is to have that really huge guy on the roster. Soon after Show and Khali are gone they are probably gonna find a new giant.

He's completely tolerable in his current role as Jinder Mahal's muscle. He doesn't even wrestle anymore, and it's glorious.

Always liked the character of a heel Khali. He does the job of the unstopable monster well and while he'll never have a 5 star match he's not meant to. Like others have said he's there to help push other talents and provide that 'awe' factor in the average fan. Smarks may not like him because he's not a 5' 10'' spot monkey but he's not meant for you. It's like John Cena he plays to the crowd that likes him just as Punk plays to the IWC.

You may be stretching comparing him to John Cena or CM Punk, but you make a bit of sense.

If his matches were highly booked they could come off well. He had some decent stuff with Triple H and a good match with HBK on Raw.
He could make a lot of money lets get real, you just have to give him a serious win streak and make him dominate in the ring. Andre was kept from the World Title for his hole career basically, but it never mattered, he was a huge draw and a great attraction. I wish WWE would book Big Show and Khali much simpler and better than they do. |

I'm not a fan of Khali's, and granted, his wrestling ability is very limited, to say the least, but I still think that WWE has not fully taken advantage of him...there's a lot they could've done with him. But it looks to be too late now.

Khali's a good example of another generic big guy WWE hired b/c of size. You'd think as a general rule, big guys would need to be talented to be a WWE employee. Unfortunately, they would rather hire a big goof like Khali than to hire guys who actually deserve a spot on the roster.

I liked the comedy stuff he was doing w/ Hornswoggle and then they had him go all serious again, wtf.
If there was an Indian stable w/ Hassan and Daivari then I might like him again tho. |

Kane took years to recover after being tagged with X-Pac, Khali needs time to shake off the kiss cam etc.
The other Indian dude he's with now looks like a rat face, I can barely stand to watch the screen when he's on. |

The problem I have with him is he's an unbelievable big monster. He's very awkward and uncoordinated that he looks super clumsy. The guy seems to have zero athletic ability so it's always been very hard for me to buy him as legit.

His bumps look incredibly uncomfortable. He serves better as a bodyguard type character I think. Either way I don't give a shit though. |

I think his purpose at the moment is to get Jinder Mahal over. There will come a point where Khali turns face against Jinder, at which point, it would make sense to have Jinder take a few victories.

Yeah, he's the very defintion of why it's ignorant to hire a big guy based on size and not talent. It's clear he has pretty much zero athletic ability in the ring, so I can't fathom why WWE keeps him around. I'm glad he didn't beat Sheamus on SD. I think it's about time Khali lost instead of squashing ppl way more deserving than him. Everytime I see Khali take bumps or do something reckless in the ring, I wonder why WWE keeps a liability like Khali around. I'm honestly surprized he hasn't injured himself or the ppl he works with badly... |
