Came out a while ago now but I don't know if there has ever been a thread about it.

I guess TECHNICALLY this could go in the movie forum as well but yeah, more "music" than anything, I guess.

If you don't know what this thread is about yet, you probably won't enjoy this.

That is pretty much my review of this visual album.



If you don't like Animal Collective, pretty much "no chance in hell" (via The Corporation) that you will like this movie or album

But.

There are mad folk here who love Animal Collective.

And I love Animal Collective. So I am looking for yr take on this visual album

I love it. But every time I watch it, I make it a point to be ridic blazed because it is just made for that so I struggle to remember it always and then I end up watching it again and am like OH SHIT THIS IS WILD so it's almost like a new experience for me each time. And it is always an amazing experience. Need to download an audio version to put on my iPod so I can listen to them more.

Was supposed to go to the opening screening to this. I feel like 50% of the time I am supposed to go to anything revolving Animal Collective, I end up missing it for some reason (recent shroom experience this summer for instance). This time, I had to go to a wake so I missed the screening. My sister went and Avey, Geologist and Deakin just showed up unexpectedly. Like as the movie ended, Avey Tare was just like standing right next to my sister when the lights came on. Then they just sat and had a Q&A after. Mad pissed I didn't get to go to that.

But yeah dunno this is awesome. Curious to see what other aNcO fans think of this because I kind of read mixed reviews.

Love how this is supposed to be kind of a horror film

Really scary in some ways

Like some crazy Evil Dead on even more acid shit
