- Grimlock's gameplay is different from the usual. It's more akin to action games; you fight with a sword/shield, your only projectile is objects in the environment (including bad guys), and once you fill a rage meter - you may transform into a T-Rex and wreck shit.
- Dinobots are restated as absolutely not included in the multiplayer mode.
- You can play as the Combaticon gestalt, Bruticus. He's intended to make you feel powerful.
- You will also play as a few of the Combaticons, including the helicopter one. A helicopter transformer is new to the gameplay and may hint at multiplayer additions.
- Instead of two campaigns for each faction, you play one story mode that starts you as Autobots, then Decepticons, then back to Autobots at the end.
- There will be more emphasis on transformation choice, rather than 'walk section' - 'vehicle section' - 'walk section', etc.
- There will be weapons closer to TF lore than the last game merely translating FPS tropes (shotgun, rifle). Though those weapons are still there, exclusive abilities like Jazz's grapple hook will be included. Likely not in multiplayer though.
- Insecticons were hinted.

In modern canon he is, but was a tank. Now in this canon they're explaining his dino-mode after the game devs convinced Hasbro to let them come up with a story.

G1 canon is moot at this point. Official canon going forward is WfC, FoC, Exodus, and Prime (TV show).

Pretty psyched for this, even though I'm not a huge Transformers fan. Seems to take inspiration from the comics, which is what I've mostly been into when it comes to transformers, so I like that.

Have to play War for Cybertron though.

I've very much enjoyed the competitive multiplayer. Had some great moments in it already. Battles should get even more interesting once people start unlocking the add-ons.

Using the helicopter body for my Scientist class. Called him Cyclonex.

I am mostly about the single player campaign with these games. Though the customization intrigues me enough to try multiplayer once I get FoC.

That said, I hope we get Thunderwing parts.
