Bound for Glory
I know I may get some heat for this . But who else is actually excited for a TNA ppv? The Roode build reminds me of the shawn micheals boy hood dream build way back when . Hell I'm even excited about Sting vs Hogan . hopefully it means that Hogan takes a vacation afterwards cause we all know sting will win . TNA is actually llegitimately selling out arenas . both road shows were legit sell outs and bound for glory in philly looks to set a new company attendance record. Hell they are even doing the show in theaters nation wide. Not the best idea but it brings a certain nostalic feel to it . Now with Russo out of power does TNA finnaly have there shit togther?

Where is this info of TNA selling out arenas? Their last two on the road tapings were not sold out, they were like 50% comped, at least.
Filling an arena doesn't really mean selling out when such a huge number of people get in for free. |

The local NBC affiliate in Knoxville, Tennessee did a story last night on the TNA iMPACT! Wrestling tapings that were in town. Knoxville Coliseum officials claimed that the tapings were a sell out with 5,000 fans. Check out the video of their segment below
this was the latest tv tapings . couldn't find the fayetteville numbers . But heard it was a sell out too |

Okay, fair enough. I don't personally believe they sold out as in sold the vast majority of tickets (I've heard 2000 paid from the Knoxville taping to the 5000 that attended), but I won't dispute the news cast.

As for the topic, I don't trust TNA. I will not take them seriously until I see vast constant improvements and constant quality booking for a long while. Then I'll give them a fair chance. Until then, they aren't getting any kind of a chance other than a segment watched here or there.

I think TNA has balanced out a lot from Hogan/ Bischoff debut. We no longer have out of shape grandpas like Hall and Knobbs on TV instead, we are getting loyal guys who deserve it like Roode, Kaz and AJ. We are seeing some younger guys like Crimson and Gunner getting some momentum (anybody else noticing that Jesse Sorrenson is getting a lot of TV time for a new guy?). Its on the right path again, depending where they go after the Hogan/ Sting feud ends hopefully at Bound For Glory.

I gotta be honest, the BFG card does look pretty good. However, it also kinda looks like TNA just kinda 'going with' a lot of old feuds that they hope will generate 'nostalgia' or something similar... Styles/Daniels, RVD/Lynn and Sting/Hogan... however, pretty much all the matches could be pretty good with the exception of the Sting/Hogan one, in which I'll be expecting the usual Hogan shenanigans.

It looked like the hard camera side of the arena last night was empty.
Honestly the only match I dont really care about is Mexican America vs Ink Inc.. I hope they aren't stupid by putting the Hogan/Sting match on last. |

I admiti im a fan of TNA . Do I think they can get better . Hell yeah . Do I think they make a hell of alot of mistakes Hell yeah . But what im saying here is they are moving in the right direction . selling out arenas yes there tiny arenas but a hell of a lot better than they were doing 2years ago . And as much as we hate TNA resigning Hogan . It is a good move i mean next week hogan is gonna be on the today show, fox and friends and espn all to promote BFG .Name one other person in TNA these shows would want . TNA has alot of work ahead of them but they are getting better . thats all im saying .

I haven't watched a single episode of Impact in many many months. What's this deal with Bobby Roode? Is he "on fire"? What's his gimmick? Why do I want to watch him?

Never really saw Roode as a main event player. He's technically sound in the ring and has a decent look, but he's never really carried himself with enough presence or possessed the charisma to break through. I think he's fine where he has been for the last 3 or 4 years - putting on some of the best matches on the card and entertaining.
They're giving him the ball and seeing if he can draw, but my money is on him being back in the upper-mid card this time next year. |

Roode has apparently done some amazing promo work lately that really started the movement behind him. I will probably YouTube his match against Kurt Angle. TNA are missing a huge opportunity if they don't at least try Robert Roode out as a main event player.
Also, I will never complain about an AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels match, and fuck anyone that does. Has Daniels officially turned heel yet? Personally, I think that's the right move, and a Daniels vs. Styles feud heading into 2012 would be a great start for the company. Sting vs. Hogan is...fuck, I don't know. Like, I understand that they're two of the biggest names ever, but it really just needs to be Sting punching Hogan for a minute and then putting him in the Scorpion Deathlock and Hogan taking time off. I guess I can let it slip as a "guilty pleasure/fan service" match. Bully Ray has actually been on fire this year, fuck the haters. The man plays his heel character so well. If you had told me that 2011 would see Bubba Ray Dudley and Mark Henry as two of the most enjoyable heels -- I'd have urinated on your face -- because I'm a bad guy like that. It's a heel's job to lose, though, so I think Anderson getting the win here and trying to bounce back after his rocky 2011 is the best booking move. Don't care about Mexican America. There are reports that Hernandez might be done with the company soon, anyway. They should really get the belts off those guys soon, and Ink, Inc. seem like a good enough duo. Instead of this Mexican crap, I'd have Jarrett reform World Elite with The British Invasion and maybe Chavo Guerrero (if they feel like signing him). Have Jarrett take the TV Title off Eric Young and then feud with Frankie Kazarian, and put over Kazarian strong. Austin Aries has been amazing, and I really think he should be a main event player for the company soon. Why the fuck not? I love Brian Kendrick, but Kendrick winning the X-Division Championship from Aries seems like a step backwards, although I do feel that they should move away from Aries as champion soon -- just so that Aries can move up the card. I'd even consider going with AJ Styles or Rob Van Dam as X-Division Champion, and have Styles' feud with Daniels over that title, or have RVD bring back the "no limits" ideals of the division. RVD vs. Jerry Lynn should tear it down. They always work well together. I kind of want to see Jerry Lynn get the win, because it always seems like RVD's game when they play. What prize are they fighting for? I'd love for it to be a shot at the X-Division Championship. Aries vs. RVD or Lynn would be amazing, and you know it. I also kind of want to see Rhino return and help Lynn win, and an unofficial alliance be formed between the two. Not because of their ECW past -- but because they want to prove themselves now. The Knockout Division has been booked so that I don't care. I'm guessing they go with Velvet Sky and her ass as Knockout Champion. Kind of love Winter, though, so I hope Angelina Love helps her retain. They need to get some sort of idea behind what they are doing there, though. They'll probably do a cheesy Beautiful People reunion at BFG -- which is kind of good, I guess. TNA should look into getting Gail Kim back. And Alissa Flash. I forgot about the Three-Way between Samoa Joe, Matt Morgan and Crimson. I'm not really feeling that on paper. I think all three men should be getting pushes, but they are booked against each other. My heart would love to see Joe take it, but we all know that's not going to happen. My guess is that they have Morgan pin Joe (again), and Crimson is all "I wasn't pinned, dude! You can't end my streak like that!" and the two have a match at the November PPV (whatever that is called). Morgan should win that, and Crimson should probably turn heel and go insane. I don't think he's really ready to be a top babyface -- but an insane heel role could help him grow as a performer. |

robert roode is without a doubt the only thing exciting me about that pay per view. dude is skilled, and him and james storm together have been one of the better tag teams i have seen. alot of everything else going on in tna just bugs me right now. for example when mexican america or wtf they are called comes out and wrestles, that giant ass flag comes down and blocks the crowd. stupid. another thing that bothered me recently was a couple weeks ago when james storm wrestled kurt angle, the match just flat out stopped, with no pin, submission, dq or anything.. it just ended. no rhyme or reason, i felt like i was watching wcw in the later years again.

If Roode wins the title, it could be a really good PPV. He needs to be booked as a super heel though, because his face work is a little too light hearted. And I'm not talking about a super heel that gets tainted victories, I mean getting real wins and just tearing people apart and getting the fans to boo him right out of the arena.

So what? Let Angle do the job then turn Roode. No way that would go over with the huge build for Roode and the asshole (not the 'good' kind) Angle has been portrayed as lately.

because he looks as threatening as a bowl of rice pudding. Which is fine against guys of similar or a bit bigger stature (AJ, Angle, The Miz, Chris Jericho etc) but you don't buy him for a second against Matt Morgan, Crimson, John Cena, Undertaker etc. Which is a shame, half a foot taller or 30lbs of muscle heavier and he could make millions.

Thought his may be noteworthy to the TNA fans
Hulk Hogan taped an appearance with The Busted Open show on Thursday that will air today at 3pm on Sirius Radio and made some rather shocking comments about TNA's #1 contender Bobby Roode and whether he's ready to be the top guy in TNA. Here are some highlights about what Hogan said about: Bobby Roode: “Nah, he’s not ready. He’s not the next guy. Ya’ know, they might think he is. Dixie Carter might think he is. The whole world might think he is. He’s not the next guy. If I had to bet money on anybody and really be serious about betting money on anybody, I’d say Jeff Hardy is the next guy if he keeps his act together. Um, that’s what you gotta to have, man. This is much more than being a wrestler, this is crossing barriers, medias, ya’ know media barriers, and, and entertainment barriers of all kind. Getting your character down verbally has 90% to do with getting over. I just have a very strong feeling Kurt Angle’s going to clean his clock performance wise, and carry the match, and basically remains the champion. He’s training for the Olympics. He’s had some up and down moments, and I think this is not gonna be a down moment for Kurt Angle, so I’m betting that farm on him.” |

Can't say I disagree, Roode has always been solid all-round but from what I've seen since this push has started, he hasn't really done anything that make you think "yeah, this guy has it". More than anything I kind of got the impression the whole thing came about because of lots of people in the industry and online saying "Robert Roode will be really good one day" and TNA figured "we'll run with that" as opposed to actually building him off the back of any actual momentum or demand etc.

I still think TNA sucks, that being said I like some of the matches on this PPV.
AJ/Daniels I Quit Match? Yes plz. Anderson/Bubba? PASS. RVD/Mr. JL in a cage? Sure. Women? Who cares. Mexicans/Twink Ink - Tag Belts? PASS. Aries/Kendrick - X Belt? Aries <3 Hogan/Sting? HOLYFUCKISIT1997? Bret Hart needs to come stop the screwjob. PASS. Angle/Roode? Angle is past his prime. Roode will do well. Maybe. |
