House Show question....
Greetings, TPWW family.
By a bizzare circumstance, I have an open weekend at my job and I have thought about attending the WWE house show in Charleston, SC. Now, I have gone to Monday Night Raw before, and the last time I went to a house show, Sting let me in for free, Rick and Scott were a tag team and the Horseman main evented vs. Lex Luger and Sting. I say that to ask this: are the house shows a better wrestling experience than the ones televised or are they worse? Heck it's $15, but I want to know. BTW I couldn't make the Raw in Columbia. I had to work. Thanks in advance. Know the conflict within before facing the conflict without.... Duke L'Orange: TPWW's resident Archer fan!!! House shows are what you pay for. 15 bucks is a good deal. Pretty much all of the faces win the matches and the main event has some sort of stipulation.

Thanks... that's what I figured. Is there more oppertunities to meet or take pictures with the wrestlers? Shoot at this point, I'll take a picture with Alicia Fox. She is my fav diva right now.

What's nice is you don't get the interuptions between matches for commercial breaks like you would a televised show and they often last a fair bit longer to boot so to me the experience just about evens out so at that price you can't go wrong.

Sounds good... Is there some meet and greet with the talent? And any words of wisdom?

No meet and greet generally, but you'll see a lot of stuff you don't normally see on TV. The talent is way more loose on house shows. For instance CM Punk once wore a graduation cap and gown to the ring and recited a Lanny Poffo-esque poem about Kane before their match, for no real reason other than to just have fun with the live crowd. Definitely worth going.

I admit it's been a while since I caught a house show, but the only time I've had a better experience at a live wrestling event was a PPV.
A lot of good points have been covered, but I'll run down my list anyway. - From a wrestling standpoint, matches are usually far better than on TV -- wrestlers get more time, and are allowed to actually wrestle more. (I left my last house show with a greater appreciation for a few talent's in-ring abilities.) - Wrestlers have more leeway and can have more fun in the ring. There's also, arguably, more in-ring storytelling and psychology. - Promos tend to get more leeway too. Last house show I was at one of the heels ran down Seattle for the weather and whatnot, and Flair later cut a promo putting Seattle over by recounting some brief anecdotes and memories about times past in the area. - There's no big entrance stage and pyro. - A lot less filler material, no commercial breaks, and obviously no backstage segments. Now, like I said, it's been a while since I was at a show... so things may have changed... but from the other posts, it doesn't sound like too much is different. I would strongly suggest going, it's pretty cheap and it's usually a lot of fun. |

WWE should do a meet and greet thing after the show, or at least get a question and answer session after the show.

I have seen a couple house shows and they were pretty good.
There are chances to meet superstars but it just depends if you are willing to stick around and if the superstars are wanting to come out. |

We got a pretty good show coming up. Steel Cage match tween Orton and Henry for the title, Sheamus vs. barrett in a street fight. Booker T is scheduled to be there. Last house show I went to was fun. Specially Miz on the mic. MVP was good on the mic too.

Remember when you pretended to be Booker T so a 15 year old girl would send you naked pictures? Good times eh?

hang out by where the wrestlers park after the show. I met Sin Cara, Ezekiel Jackson, and Randy Orton after the last house show I went to.
