Jerry Lynn Appreciation Thread
Since hearing the news this past week that he is retiring at the end of the year, I think it's appropriate that I pay tribute one of the most underrated journeyman of professional wrestling in the New F'N Show...JERRY LYNN!!!
Trained by Olympian Brad Rheingans, Lynn debuted in March 1988 for Eddie Sharkey's PWA. Since then, he has wrestled for every wrestling promotion imaginable in North America, including the WWF, WCW, ECW, TNA, and ROH. His feuds with the Lightning Kid (Sean Waltman) and Rob Van Dam are things of legend. His triangle feud with A.J. Styles and Low-Ki in the very early days of TNA set the pace and standard that the X-Division should be. So, raise the metal horns and bang your heads for the New F'N Show!!! |

Definite contender for most underrated worker. Sad to see him go, but he's earned it.

Jerry Lynn couldn't lick Minoru Fujita's ball sweat. Don't even get me started on how superior Takashi Sugiura is to Jerry Lynn. Just watch their tag matches against each other for the NOAH GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship on March 5, 2006 and August 13, 2006.

Never saw him in ECW, but enjoyed him well enough in the WWF and TNA.
He was no Jerry Flynn, but he was pretty decent. |

Loved Jerry Lynn to death.
Got so insanely tired of watching him and RVD have the same fucking match over and over and over and over and over. His entrance in IWA MS, where he danced with Nate Webb was cool. |

He aiight.
Him vs RVD on the last Guilty As Charged was sick. Says something that the only time Ive looked forward to an RVD match in the last decade was when Jerry Lynn was brought into TNA. |

I wanted to be a smart ass because I'm ready for him to retire, but he was the man in ECW and the start of TNA. I was not a fan of his ROH work though, not one bit.

Here's the evolution of Jerry Lynn over the years...
1988 1989 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 - sorry about the Spanish commentary, but it's the only one I could find. 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 - There's no videos available. 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 - Still to come. |

Jerry Lynn...what a legend, underrated worker, his matches with RVD were awesome. Him winning the ECW title was a great moment.

When I think of Jerry Lynn, I think of the term vanilla midget.
He is an indy work horse. But he has little charisma, and is instantly forgettable. He can put on a decent enough match. But there is a reason he never made it in WCW or WWE. And he is best remembered for giving ECW breakout stars their best ECW matches but he himself couldn't break out because he is unoriginal and uninspired.. |

Jerry Flynn > Jerry Lynn.
Jerry Flynn was yet another person held down by Hogan and Bischoff |
