WWE Super Heels, where are they?

I have noticed that there is no Super Heel competitor for Wrestlemania this year. Bryan and Jericho have just recently been put in the picture as main event heels, but are not in feuds of epic proportions for their championship matches. Bryan had turned heel not too long ago, and Jericho just came back like two months before now? Is this because of Rock vs. Cena?
In my lifetime of watching wrestling, the most effective heels were the Rock, HHH, and Orton. The Rock was a face on the verge of surpassing Austin, and then turned heel winning the championship, but kept on inventing catchy quotes and doing excellent promos, and as we have seen, he is one awesome actor. HHH, who in my opinion was my most hated heel, did it all! He took over the company and title, dominated his matches, and won so much, you'd tune in to see the day he loses. Orton aimed to destroy the company and its legacy, crippling the legends of old, crippling the boss and his family, and anyone else in his way, including champions.
So my question now is... who has what it takes? My picks are Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Daniel Bryan, and yes, John Cena (given the turn happens). Wade is the most likely candidate, after all, he led two groups that held the WWE hostage, also has reputation for hurting people without regard for killing them, and his new theme (despite people's dislike for it) fits him for his hated character, all he needs is that last push, he's not far at all. Rhodes just has the look of a dark-eyed creep, the skills of a main eventer, and has a legendary family like Orton, and his creepy psychopathic attitude works great for him. Bryan needs more time for his status, but he has the right idea and something original for it, and it should focus on a lack of losses. I can't say anything about Cena, but most Super Face turns are successful, and in his case, he's shown that he could be a charismatic heel, now it needs to be done in a Super Cena way he hasn't used before. Who else can you name off has that potential to draw people in with a good villainous run?

WWE doesn't want super heels anymore. Wade could have been one if Nexus didn't turn into Cena job boys. The last potential was with Mark Henry's recent title run.

Don't get me wrong, always being heels vs. faces in every match is kinda hoaky to me, but the company has to have the guy (or girl... maybe down the far future) keeping the favorite face from carrying the company, at least around this time of year. Even though the Rock vs. Cena match happens, there's no reason to be ignorant of the other matches going on, which is what it seems like they're doing this year.

We need more Super-Heels. The last super heels were HHH and JBL.

And out of their reign of terror was established Cena and Batista, who both become hugely successful mega stars. No more stars of that level have been made since then.

laughing at the "term" super heels right now.

if you asked my opinion tho id say danielson has the most heat in the company right now. as far as getting someone enough heat to reach the heels of yesterday im not sure anyone on the roster outside of punk or cena could really pull it off (never thought orton was that strong as a heel.) getting real heat is difficult in "sports entertainment."

Building a "Super heel" would require consistent character development. Not exactly WWE's strong point for quite a while now.

Daniel Bryan has got the makings to be a tremendous heel. The only thing that could make him more hated right now is if he were managed by Vickie Guerrero, adopted Michael Cole as a spokesman and adopted a rabid wolverine as a mascot and called Chris Benoit his biggest in-ring influence.

There's always good money in the heel dominating the scene for a while, providing that feel-good moment when they are eventually toppled by the forces of good. That's why I don't feel like now is the time for D-Bryan to get his comeuppance. If he wormed out of WrestleMania with the World Title, his heat would get hectic. Build it and build it right up until around SummerSlam, where the pay-off of Bryan getting his ass kicked can seem like more of a pay-off than a mere storyline development. I think it'd mean more for Sheamus to do it after getting royally fucked over by Bryan than doing it now. The feel good moments come in CM Punk walking out of WrestleMania with the WWE Title, and getting three potentially classic matches.

Also, I feel that if CM Punk or John Cena turned heel, they would instantly be *the* heels of professional wrestling. Punk's been a proven ratings bummer lately, and while his feud with Jericho is getting real good real fast, if things don't exactly go the way the WWE would like after the pay-off of Punk proving he is "The Best in the World," then a heel turn and feud against John Cena would be absolutely amazing. His character would not change at all -- he'd just be against top faces and be "cool" again.

Two other men: Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels have got all the talent in the world to be that guy. Just because they can do whatever the fuck they want.

Oh, and I think that if Brock Lesnar decided to return to the WWE; he could be the biggest heel potentially ever and make a shit-ton of cash at the same time. The dude makes such a great aggressive antagonist, and his history with the WWE and an attitude he could bring from MMA could lend itself it a character that could rub fans of professional wrestling the wrong way in a good way.

Yeah, Kane was headed that direction, but they make him lose so many big matches that despite his recent revamp, he still doesn't give the impression that he's a legitimate threat.

I see Cody building his reputation on becoming a big heel. The potential is there, and he's built a solid foundation for it, now they just need to let him go and do his thing.

I'm surprised Randy Orton wasn't brought up in this thread yet. I thought he was a Super heel when he was with Legacy.

I mean before punting somebody in the head became cool with the kids in the crowd he was pretty evil.

His snake gimmick kind of reminded me of him being like Lord Voldemort.

Two past ones that come to mind are Triple H and the Ministry of Darkness Taker. I mean they had to do ALOT to get the Undertaker booed by the fans. Even sort of aligning himself with Vince around Summerslam 1998 didn't do the trick. He had to literally turn into the Devil incarnate to get people to forget taker's 6 year long existence as a face.

Triple H of course in no certain order crippled HBK in the back with the slegehammer after losing to him at Summerslam, Simulated Necrophila, took advantage and beat up on Eugene, married the boss's daughter and buried everybody left right and center.

Oh yeah and Mr. McMahon. That guy is the biggest super heel of them all.

I don't think you can have a real super-heel in a PG show anymore. The depths you have to sink to reach super-heel just can't be done in civilized PG television society.

What's the longest time he was out via injury? Even if they wanted the title off of him, there was no reason to throw him back to mediocrity like they did. No consistency in characters. It's ridiculous.

When I hear super heel I think of Ted Dibiase, Rick Martel, Rick Rude, and Mr. Perfect.

I actually see Cody Rhodes becoming "cool heel" and turning face before this happens.

I see Cody building his reputation on becoming a big heel. The potential is there, and he's built a solid foundation for it, now they just need to let him go and do his thing.
That was a good draw for people in his character, that he was almost impossible to defeat, and almost always unphased by a person's finisher. When I seen him in that match with the SES Punk, I felt like they've already killed his character.
Cody is a creepy guy, he's doing good in his role.
