Which is more likely?
As we saw on Raw, storyline wise, Big show was fired, and the B.o.D altered the Johnny C / L match at Over the Limit to where no roster member can interfere, lest they be immediately fired, and if Johnny L loses, he'll be fired as well.
That said, to me, it's obvious that Johnny L will win. That said which is more likely? Will Lesnar get involved, since he quit 2 weeks ago? Will Big Show get involved since he was fired? Will some other "non roster" member interfere? I'm voting toward the 1st one myself... how about you folks? |

Big Show interferes and costs Cena the match with Laurinaitis using the loophole that he's not a roster member.

Then again, it's possible that things turn out exactly as expected. It could be a convoluted method of swerving all of the recent swerves by being predictable. The fans would expect something else to occur, only to get the already apparent outcome, and nothing more, thus continuing the company's trend of swerving its fans. All that of course makes this entire conversation moot. |

Here are the flaws with Big Show helping John Laurinaitis at Over the Limit:
1) If John Laurinaitis loses, then a new GM would be put in place, and would partially owe their job to a 441lbs free agent multi-time World Champion. Big Show has basically got a free ticket to knock Laurinaitis the fuck out and get his way. 2) Even if Big Show remains a "goodie," there is no reason John Cena should need help beating John Laurinaitis. In fact, it kind of screws Johnny Ace. Therefore, Big Show involvement makes sense only if: a) Big Show and John Laurinaitis have been planning this all along. Big Show's firing was a pre-emptive method because it was leaked to Laurinaitis somehow that the Board of Directors would pull something like they would, or Johnny Ace is just a super-genius that has all his bases covered. b) John Cena absolutely destroys Laurinaitis and then says "Oh yeah, there's someone that wants to speak with you." Cue Big Show coming out and knocking Laurinaitis out with the WMD, followed by a big celebration with Cena, and possibly Brodus Clay, Hornswoggle, Naomi, Cameron and Teddy Long. Brock Lesnar interference would make sense. Lesnar can't be too happy with Cena beating him at Extreme Rules. That being said, if Paul Heyman and Lesnar are close, it would make more sense for Lesnar to actually help Cena terminate Laurinaitis, and for Heyman to use Lesnar's free agent status and his lawsuit against Triple H as leverage to weasel his own way into the General Manager position, giving Heyman and Lesnar ultimate control over the WWE. Although, given his past with Big Show, it would also make sense for Big Show to be in on this plan. Show has won both the WWE Championship and ECW Championship under Heyman's guidance. Could Big Show help Cena, only to later betray Cena when it comes time to draw battle lines against the onslaught of Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar? |

I think the whole Brock Lesnar/Paul Heyman idea would be perfect, considering the actions on RAW this past week between Triple H and Heyman, to prevent the pending lawsuit or lawsuits.

Feel like this thread (and others) shouldn't be in the q&a forum. Yes it's a question but it's asking for an opinion, not looking for an absolute resolution to a question - which I believe is the intention of this forum.
For example, "Who has The Undertaker beaten at Mania?" is a question with an absolute answer. "Which was your favourite Undertaker Mania match?" is a question asking for an opinion or trying to create discussion. The question posed in this thread is like the latter and should find a home in the wrestling forum. Also, probably get more replies there. |
