Let's Go Cena! / Cena Sucks!
I'm watching the best of RAW/Smackdown 2011 right now on Netflix. It got me wondering about this chant. Does anybody know when this chant started? And when did you start to hate John Cena?

Personally I haven't liked him in a long time. I respect the hell out of him but I hate his character. If he ever goes full-time to how he was in the build up against Lesnar, I'd mark out!!!

Is there anything thing that the WWE could do to make us like Cena again?

The Mania where he wrestled HHH was where it was the most apparent to me, but it started much earlier than that.....

I also started to get fed up with Cena during his feud with Kurt. Although I also remember hoping Christian or Y2J would win out of their triple threat the month prior.

If WWE really wanted to have all the fans like him they did a shitty job of picking his opponents.

The crowd became split on Cena when he feuded with Jericho going into Summerslam 2005. When the Angle feud started, then the booing picked up. They made it completely obvious that they wanted you to cheer for Cena and Angle was supposed to be the heel, but no one wanted to boo Angle because he was so good.

Yeah, Summerslam 2005 was a clear split.

I remember Christian getting wild cheers when he was trashing Cena at Backlash though so it could of been as early as then.

Everybody always tries to make it out like its about 50/50 but I know better. The women and the children have louder voices overall and it drowns out some of the man boos. It's probably more 60/40 boo to cheer ratio most of the time.

Worst thing about the Cena/Angle feud is that they should have seen it coming.

Angle was feuding with Eugene right before that, and the fans were booing the RETARD...
