Smackdown spoilers live from Houston, y'all!
Went to Smackdown tonight.

Dark match

Zack Ryder came in to a big ovation. Random Wade Barrett music hit and out comes the man himself. I was pretty shocked he came out on Superstars. Then we all realized Tony Chimmel had essentially trolled everyone and this was just a dark match.

Barrett won with his crappy finisher, he still has that last intro music as well

WWE Superstars

Justin Gabriel/Tyson Kidd beat Tyler Reks/Curt Hawkins. Decent match, nothing too special. Kidd is awesome as always.

Santino came out to join the commentary booth. Matt Striker looked pissed at him all the time.

Kofi Kingston beat Heath Slater. Good match. Onto Smackdown.

WWE Smackdown

Lillian came out and sang the US anthem. She has a great voice.

Booker T came out in in a tuxedo with suspenders no less. He wanted Sheamus to apologize to Del Rio for stealing his car last night on Raw. Both Sheamus and Del Rio come out and want the World Title match to happen tonight itself. Booker obliges. Fairly certain this match will end in a DQ or something.

Sin Cara beat Cody Rhodes. Cody made a big fuss about the mask before the match and kept trying to take it off. Sin Cara won with a sudden small package. Maybe a feud between the two, I readily welcome it.

Christian beat Antonio Cesaro thus actually ending my TPWW Survivor stint

Swagger got the jobber entrance and Orton got the massively over one. Orton won in like 2 min. YAWN!

2 random wrestlers came out, and everyone did a Goldberg chant. No promo from them but suddenly Jinder Mahal showed up instead. He came in, kept hitting his head and shouting "Feed me more" or something to mimic Ryback. Match ended in a DQ and suddenly Ryback showed up. Mahal ran back to the entrance ramp, Ryback did his finisher. Looks like Mahal/Ryback in the future.

UP NEXT: Highlight Reel with the New and Improved Jeritron 6000

Only Vickie came out and Jericho had maybe 4-5 minutes of fun with her. Jericho also wants to be knows as Y2J now. Dolph came from the crowd and hit Y2J with his MITB case when Vickie distracted Y2J. Y2J/Dolph official for Summerslam.

Primetime players beat Epico/Primo (without Rosa mendes ) by DQ. AW threw water onto Kofi/R Truth doing guest commentary and ran into the ring. All 3 teams brawled, ref decided Kofi hit Darren Young first and awarded them the win.

Eve vs Kaitlyn next week, winner to be Booker T's assistant. Battle of the boobies, lads.

Rey Mysterio beat The Miz. Good, short match. Miz complained later, got a pedigree from Triple H in an off-TV segment.

Daniel Bryan came in to a massive reaction, 2nd biggest after Cena (dark match). He complains about Kane and AJ. Kane shows up and hit Bryan. AJ shows up, talks to both of them and ask Bryan to shake hands with Kane. Doesn't work, almost gets a chokeslam. Bryan runs through the crowd while AJ shows her O-face on the entrance ramp. Totally magical

AJ's entrance and her skipping around the ring is re-shot.

Sheamus vs Del Rio never happens. "Police officers" show up as the match is about to begin and everyone assaults Sheamus bad. The end.

Dark match

John Cena vs Big Show/John Laurinaitis

Turns out to be Ziggles/Show vs Cena instead. Fun match, fun predictable ending. Laurinaitis shows up after the match, hits Cena with a chair, gets an FU.

Wade Barrett looked pretty good, and was the night's highlight.

Yeah, no Swagger/Orton or Kofi/Slater from Superstars. The Kidd/Gabriel vs. Hawkins/Reks tag match was fantastic. Kidd & Gabriel should probably be pushed towards the Tag Team Title picture. Also, Hawkins & Reks got a spot on SmackDown, which was a bit weird. Reks referenced his surfing past.

Sin Cara is getting there. No botches in his match, and I dig Cody Rhodes' "psychological" promos. The story these two told was pretty great, with Rhodes at one point getting Sin Cara in a Gory Special and grabbing at the mask. Eventually, this strategy cost Rhodes, as Sin Cara managed to roll-up Rhodes when he was going for the mask. It does appear there will be issues between the two going forward, and that is awesome. Sin Cara and Rhodes both need a story. I would love to see Sin Cara & Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes & The Miz, although I think that the Intercontinental Title will probably get defended at SummerSlam.

But yeah -- Sin Cara is getting more accustomed to the WWE style, and he'll make Vince a lot of money.

Antonio Cesaro is doing a shtick where he speaks in five different languages before his matches -- and if you don't understand, well "that's the point." I like the way Cesaro carries himself as a gentleman and then becomes so vicious in the ring. Very William Regal like. I feel that Cesaro will earn a lot of critical appreciation for his awesome work, which is very entertaining to watch, but I hope he finds commercial success. He seems to be getting a big push, and he looked impressive and heelish destroying Christian after the match. People need a real reason to boo Cesaro, and this is giving it to them. Cesaro doesn't seem like a champion yet, though. I would love to see Cesaro vs. Christian for the US Title, however.

Oh, and it appeared Cesaro dropped Christian out of a gutwrench at one point. They recovered about as well as possible, but I hope there isn't too much backlash on Cesaro for that one mistake.

I like Chris Jericho's face turn, and how he is subtly trying to explain why he is going back to his Y2J roots. A lot of people will no doubt predict Dolph Ziggler to win their match at SummerSlam, but for Jericho's face turn to mean anything, I think he needs to beat Ziggler cleanly. Give them a prolonged program and have Jericho then go after Ziggler's briefcase at Night of Champions.

I love that Primo & Epico have been included in the Tag Title scene. I quietly enjoy their rivalry with The Prime Time Players, and I still haven't lost hope for a TLC Match at SummerSlam. I just wish that Primo & Epico would get time to explain their motivations as a face team. Given the outcome of this match, I could see Primo & Epico actually costing Kofi Kingston & R-Truth the WWE Tag Team Titles to Darren Young & Titus O'Neil, and furthering issues between all three teams, with Primo & Epico not actually so face-ish any more. I can't rule out the inclusion of Reks & Hawkins in the Tag Title program, though -- they were on RAW, SmackDown and Superstars this week! Perhaps a Tag Title match between Kofi/Truth and Young/O'Neil is interrupted by them trying to "make an impact" and Primo & Epico then come out for the save, leading to some sort of SummerSlam Fatal 4-Way situation?

Rey Mysterio and The Miz worked shockingly well together. I'd be surprised if we do not see Mysterio vs. Miz for the Intercontinental Title in coming weeks. It'll probably be on the SummerSlam card.

Daniel Bryan is definitely over, and he's constantly growing as an all-round performer. His stuff with AJ and Kane is...interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing his match with Kane, since I don't think Kane has done better work with anyone else in his entire career.

The Del Rio/Sheamus stuff was...ugh. The idea is that Del Rio hired goons to take out Sheamus...during his title match. I guess the story will be a pissed off Sheamus going after Del Rio and wanting to beat him up at SummerSlam -- perhaps with some sort of gimmick added to their match. I don't really like how we got there, though. Del Rio was getting great heat to close the show, however.

Everything you guys said was included for us live. I am really surprised they cut the Orton match, he had such a massive reaction.

I haven't watched the show yet, but without the Barrett match the only thing I am looking forward to see is the Highlight Reel.

Christian / Cesaro was great. I'm glad Cesaro lost, hate all these undefeated streaks they are give to every single new character lately.

Jinder Mahal squashing the skinny guys didn't really make him look impressive, but it did make the months of Ryback handicap matches look absolutely worthless. Not sure if thats what they were going for with that angle.

Just got around to watching Smackdown and already have Jericho vs Ziggler as my most anticipated match to watch for Summer Slam.
