So I've only watched the ppv's from WWE this year and I just have a question
Why is Paul Heyman here? Has he done anything?

A lot of people like him, and I do as well, but since Lesner has left he hasn't done much but stand behind Punk and say some things. Don't get me wrong, he's entertaining in the role and I like him, but his purpose is rather unnecessary and in the background in my opinion.

Was thinking this the other day, has to be the biggest bust this year.
Everyone thought he was some savior yet WWE pair him with a guy who can already talk. Seems like all Heyman does is parrot what Punk says and adds a "yeah, you suck!" on the end (look at the segment with Flair) Use the guy on commentary or something, clearly he's lost while Lesnar isnt around. |

Think the basis for their pairing is from a small reference Punk made about a year ago during his special "shoot"/pipebomb promo and Heyman saying lots of good things about Punk before he started to show up on tv with Lesnar.
Had the WWE managed Lesnar's appearances better, Heyman probably wouldn't have been around Punk for this long or at least a "Heyman's Guys" group would have actually formed. |

My theory is that Punk just wanted to work with him, and WWE thought it would be a good way to cement Punk's heel turn.

I find him to be very entertaining. What would you like him to do?

I would like him to speak for Brock when Brock Lesnar Returns by costing Ryback the title in his TLC match with Punk

I don't even like Heyman and I'll admit that he's a +4 to everything Punk does.
For fuck's sake look at this: You can call this cheap heat if you want, and you're wrong. This is absolute brilliance of heeldom, especially when he yells in Foley's face that he should show Heyman some respect because he just had a heart attack. Punk on his own can teeter on the edge of losing a crowd, with Heyman backing him up that possibility is gone. |

CM Punk and Paul Heyman are one of the most entertaining things going on in the WWE right now.

I'm thoroughly convinced that it's CM Punk providing job security for Heyman.
The concern is, what will happen to Heyman around this Rumble? Depending on the outcome, where will he end up? Will he still be behind the champ? Or get cast to the shadows like this championship reign so that Rock and Cena can go at it again with a title in the picture? I'm hoping the former |

Paul Heyman can hold the hell out of that title belt.
Kind of want to hire him to follow me around and hold up random things. Probably would start with my cat. |

Heyman is an out. We're probably going to see The Rock get physically involved with Punk soon. Heyman allows Rock to make his "big comeback" with a signature moveset without Punk giving away anything. Helps keep the hype for the match healthy.
