2013 TIPSTERS: Royal Rumble/Sign-Up Thread (Match added)
First, let's establish the rules:

Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for twelve falls, and it is for the 2013 TPWW Tipsters Championship! The rules of this contest are as follows:

For each match, you will predict the outcome. The usual things to predict are:
Winner: The winner of the match
How: Pinfall, Submission, DQ, etc.
Move: The move that determines how the match ends
Successfully predicting the Winner is worth 50 points. In addition to How and Move, some matches may have other predictions to make. Successfully predicting these other parts of the outcome are 25 points each, but only if you also predict the Winner correctly. Some matches will have additional "bonus" questions, and predicting the Winner correctly is not necessary to get these bonus points. For the "Big 4" PPVs, the points for the entire PPV will be doubled.

Miscellaneous details:
SPOILER: show

If you predict the winning move as "his finisher" or "her finisher" for someone who has multiple finishers, I'm going to randomly determine which finisher you meant.

If you think a match will end in disqualification by interference, "How: DQ; Move: Interference" is sufficient. If you think a match will end in a pin after interference, you still need to predict the move that ends the match.


The winner (highest scorer) of each PPV will pick a bonus match for the next PPV to be worth double points.

In order to be eligible to participate, you must meet at least three of the following criteria:
  1. You must have at least 750 posts.
  2. You must have been a regular contributor to the wrestling forum for the past nine months.
  3. You must have positive reputation.
  4. You must have fully participated (not missing a single PPV) in a previous season of Tipsters.

If you miss three PPVs, you will be dropped from Tipsters. If you don't think you're going to have time to participate, then please don't sign up.

Now that The Fink is done explaining the rules, let's do this.


Since the Royal Rumble is a Big 4 PPV, matches will have their points doubled. And yes, that means bonus matches will have their points quadrupled. Since this is the start of a new season, both the winner of last season (Blakeamus) and the winner of the last PPV (glanville6) will each pick a bonus match for the Royal Rumble, assuming they sign up.

Just curious about these rules here. If one is ineligible to participate due to missing a period of time of Tipsters, wouldn't that make it impossible for next year for anyone who never got the chance to participate? (Assuming the same rules apply to next year)

Secondly, if one missed a portion due to uncontrollable circumstances, does that still void one from eligibility?

I just edited out the How for the WHC match, since it was announced tonight to be a Last Man Standing match.

To clarify, the first random entry means the first entry that isn't predetermined. So, if someone is predetermined to be #1, and someone else is predetermined to be #2, the first random entry is whoever #3 is. Likewise for the last random entry.

Basically, I don't read Smackdown spoilers, and I didn't want to have to read spoilers to know what numbers to put there.
