What makes certain cities a good crowd?
After watching Raw last night we all heard how lively the crowd was and entertaining they were. And I've been thinking why was New Jersey such a good crowd, was it because it was after Wrestlemania, but then again a city like Chicago is always a good crowd... What makes cities a good crowd?

In reality, I think it may have to do with cities that were originally wrestling territories. The love for wrestling, or at least the acknowledgement that there is something called pro wrestling, has been passed from generation to generation and so, they appreciate being able to be at a live show and let it be known.
Or something along those lines. |

Miami was the same last year where the crowd was great but it also was a big mixture of internationals and out of town visitors.
Only a handful of big cities are constantly great with the crowds and its usually because of the WWE's history there (New York's MSG) or because of them being strong wrestling hotbeds (ex. Boston, Chicago, etc). |

Gotta be big time wrestling cities. New York City and Chicago always got hot crowds.
I guess I can throw New Haven in the mix since HQ was about a 30 minute drive down 95. But now that the Coliseum got knocked down, Bridgeport took over, and it ain't the same. |

It was a WrestleMania crowd there to watch a show that they didn't come there for/didn't care to pay as much attention to. Plus it's very likely they were tired and slightly delirious/had been drinking since the night before.

What was that WWE PPV that was held in Phoenix not too long ago where the fans were going crazy?

I think so.
That Phoenix crowd was a nice (somewhat) surprise. |

WWE.com have a few things up about the crowd.
One of them is a poll asking what the best chant was. http://www.wwe.com/inside/polls/raw-...st-crowd-chant |

They also have a video of Fandango's theme playing as everyone leaves the arena.
