John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan at MITB?
Just read that WWE is planning to have D-Bry contend for the WWE title at MITB, but that he will remain a face.
I think this match has HUGE potential and has me instantly interested in the PPV. What do you think? ![]() |

That sounds pretty amazing to me. The smark in me would love to see Bryan force Cena to submit and win the title in huge "moment" though.
Can you imagine the star-making promo on RAW? "Throughout my life my motto has always been "Never Give Up," but last night I had to. Congratulations, Daniel. You are not the weak link. You're the toughest son a bitch I have ever been in the ring with." Cena then hands the WWE Championship over to Bryan with a Daniel Bryan ring logo on one side and a "YES!" logo on the other. Bryan puts his new championship on and starts an epic "YES!" chant. Cena leaves Bryan to have his moment, but Bryan gets on the mic and asks Cena where he's going. "We've got to have a rematch. Right here! Tonight!" Vince McMahon then comes out and says that won't be happening, Bryan vs. Cena II is too big a commodity and he's making it happen on PPV in Los Angeles at SummerSlam. |

Impossible.
You can't have someone be a face against Cena anymore. Not since RVD or Shawn Michaels, anyway. |

The guys on Busted open on xm were against this but pro Daniel bryan beating Ryback at Summer slam which would also never happen. If he beats Cena he'll hold it longer than for the inevitable Cena rematch clause and another ppv.
I honestly thought Daniel Bryan would win the wwe title mitb match to set up him vs ryback down the line. |

It's time to strike now, I think. At Payback, Bryan vs. Orton could happen with Bryan getting the clean win to move forward. Don't have him and Kane feud, but rather just have Bryan make the challenge to Cena. Have Bryan win some sort of match to qualify. Maybe a Battle Royal where all other participants are in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match?

He's only won the WWE Title a few times more than anyone else in history. He probably needs this.

I guess what I like most about this is the notion that WWE holds Bryan in such high regard, pretty much knowing that he's the go-to guy for a match of the year.

Agreed.
It's also nice to see they can realise when something is red hot and roll with it. |

Needs Bret Hart involved to make this truly ok. Maybe as a ref. that would be great.

Shouldn't Cena already be at a "legend" status after all these years. If anything he should be at that status Bret and HBK were when it came to making Stone Cold the next big star.
If the WWE really wants to capitalize on Bryan, he needs to win at MitB instead of the WWE foolishly waiting too long like they've done to a lot of potential big stars in the past. Also removes any doubt regarding Bryan's big push only occurring because the WWE needs a new star to be "fed" to Cena. |

It's getting ridiculous how many times they feel the need to "make" Cena, if the story is correct.

I was just thinking: Do you think the WWE should let Heyman, knowing the Philly audience as well as he does, book Money in the Bank? Or at least act as a consultant to create the most memorable show possible?

They probably should.
But they won't. And the show will blow rhinoceros balls as a result. |

Daniel Bryan vs ADR, and Daniel Bryan vs CM Punk are two matches I'd love to see again. Those three (Bryan, ADR and Punk) are my favorite in-ring performers right now. They are great wrestlers. But in short, yeah, I'd watch the PPV if Cena/Bryan was the main event. Cena always ups his game when he's facing a solid worker like Daniel Bryan. |

No. I never want Heyman to book WWE again because of the crying that will ensue when he is no longer doing so. That being said, they should definitely get his input on some things.

I definitely think Triple H appreciates Paul Heyman as an on-air talent. Triple H has essentially been feuding with him for over a year. Heyman's performances (not just his promos, but his general acting and even his bumping for Triple H) have made The Game's stuff so much more bearable lately. I sincerely doubt they hate each other. Creative differences between Heyman and the McMahons are obvious, but all are professionals and like making money.
I mean, aren't the WWE looking for a new head writer? I'm not sure how demanding being a head writer, being on the road, cutting amazing promos and getting everybody you are associated with over is -- but if Heyman is up for the task, a lot of profit could stand to be made. |

And while I have not seen it reported anywhere in the dirt sheets, has anyone else noticed that basically around the time Paul Heyman arrived, a bunch of guys suddenly got better on the mic? Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins are three guys that I am thinking of. When you have an amazing talker like Paul Heyman, you'd have to be insane to not pick his brain. I wouldn't be surprised if these are all behind the scenes "Heyman Guys."

Dark comedy segments where Daniel Bryan is trying to do charity stuff like John Cena could be quite good.
