Unhappy Christopher Nowinski Finished

This is posted on our own newsboard, and offers updated information on the condition of Christopher Nowinski.

Christopher Nowinski's Career Over; New WWE Position Possible
By Richard Gray on May 12, 2004 at 4:14 PM EST

Christopher Nowinski, who continues to battle problems from various concussions, is said to probably be done with his in-ring wrestling career. However, he is well-liked backstage in WWE so the overall feeling is that the company will give him some other type of position. What it will be is unknown at this point, but it is a real shame to see his wrestling career be over at such a young age.

Well, that really sucks for Chris. He was a real hard worker, and the fact that he passed up probable financial success to pursue a dream shows that he's not all ego. I hope he can be an announcer or something like that. He seems like a really nice guy, and it's a shame this had to happen to him.

Wouldn't mind him being the 3rd announce guy on Raw.

I think if Johnny Nitro didn't have this "apprentice" role, Chris would've been perfect for that.

Dam, I really liked Chris. Back when I was always talking about a New Evolution during last year, I always said Chris would be perfect for the group.

I'm guessing after he broke Droz's neck, although I cant remember how they punished him

Anyway, I thought that D-Lo slipped on a cup or something that had been thrown into the ring, so it was a complete accident

Dangit. I was really beginning to like Nowinski right before he stopped wrestling. Hopefully he will be back.

The GM spot isn't going to be filled by Angle permanantly....wouldn't it be nice to have Nowinski fill it? For a relatively new guy he was damn good on the mic and that's basically all the GM does, so yeah, I'd be happy if he got the role.

I never understood why he was in the WWE in the first place. Dude can make way more money in other avenues. You can still love wrestling without having to deal with the BS that goes into being involved in it.

I dont know if this story is accurate, but I was pretty sure his career was over when I first heard about his concussions. He had potential, but I think he's better off doing something else.

Nowinski was the man, hands down. I loved his in-ring work and character, I sure as hell hope he can come back. It's a shame to see such good talent go to the crapper at a young age.

Nowinski was one of the better talents on RAW. Alot better than most people give him credit for. Its sad to hear that his carrear might be over before it begins. I hope they throw him in the announcers booth and get rid of either JR or King. Both are really getting stale. Ok, they've been stale since 2000 but that's neither here nor there.
