Thoughts on Night of Champions
I kinda have an issue with Daniel Bryan facing Randy Orton 1-on-1 at NOC. I really think the first person Bryan takes down at a PPV is HHH, I really hope this feud doesn't lead up to Daniels biggest opponent being Triple H @ Mania.
I feel that at NOC Daniel should defeat HHH cleanly while Orton faces Punk and wins the match after Heyman or Axel screws him. Have Bryan win the title @ next PPV. Then new corp could then pick a new guy to try to pick off Bryan. Your thoughts? |

I was feeling it was either was gonna be vs Orton or vs HHH. Was hoping he would Knock off HHH first.

But that would leave Orton with out a good feud and that would never work bc he is the champ

I was actually kind of hoping they'd make him go through the Shield before he could get his rematch. Him taking the US Title from Ambrose at NOC and going into, say, Survivor Series for a champion-versus-champion match that actually means something would have been great.

Too early for him to actually go after Triple H since he cares more about the title than getting revenge right now.
Another screw job at NoC would be enough for the revenge storyline to become more important and cement Orton as a crowd hated champion. Then either have Bryan win at Survivor Series or begin him gradually taking out the new Corporation. |

Well that's why I said in the first post in this thread Axel or Heyman could screw him out of the title. I feel that feud needs some more buffer before Lesnar comes back.

Daniel Bryan comes out as #1 at the Royal Rumble, wins it and gets a shot at WM.

Why would HHH/Vince even give Bryan the title shot!? Guess I'll have to tune into SmackDown to find out!

Would love if Bryan entered at #1 and won the rumble. Especially if they brought the 40 man rumble back.

Daniel Bryan getting a title shot at Night of Champions makes perfect sense. He's entitled to a rematch and all that jazz (a stipulation which I hate). It would also make sense for Triple H to make it a No Disqualification Match (of some variety) and send out a bunch of Corporate lackies to try and take down Bryan as it looks like he is going to win. The Shield, Wade Barrett, etc. I could see a heel turn taking place which costs Bryan the match.

I understand that when a PPV DVD is released the results are known, but I still have a problem with the main event result being shown on the cover.

Hmm. Could be just a quick, thrown together cover for sales purposes and not the final cover or something. That does seem strange.

I'm curious what they're gonna do with the IC Title. Punk vs Axel straight up just doesn't seem right. Axel is nowhere near Punk's league in or out of kayfabe. I was thinking maybe have it be a handicap match with Heyman teaming with Axel and being able to constantly distract Punk to even things up or having Heyman as the referee. Or maybe have Punk cost Axel the title on Raw against someone like The Miz and then have a new Heyman guy (Ryback?) face Punk in a title-less match at NOC while Miz defends against Fandango.

Cena and CM Punk beating Byan in the "Face of WWE" poll might be an excuse to slow Bryan's push.

At this point, as far as the "non-title" Night of Champions match goes, I'd actually like for it to be The Miz vs. Fandango, which Johnny Curtis should win cleanly to continue his rise. |

Man, could you imagine if Johnny Curtis aligned with Paul Heyman at Night of Champions? Summer Rae could then become the "Paul Heyman Girl."

I don't think the Fandango character would work with Heyman. I think Curtis could keep elements of the character (maybe the ring attire for a bit), but for the most part gets "re-branded."

Have AJ be the Paul Heyman Girl and then have Punk Vs. Big E.

I really wish they were going with Alberto Del Rio vs. RVD vs. Christian at Night of Champions. I think that would have been a sick Triple Threat. In my heart, I'd want Christian to go over, but Del Rio pinning one of the guys and having another match with the guy he doesn't pin at Hell in a Cell would probably make the most sense. That would probably be RVD. Del Rio should debut Matt Morgan as his new paid employee since he could get involved in Triple Threat Matches. This could also set up Morgan vs. Christian on the Hell in a Cell pre-show or something.
It seems like they're moving AJ Lee onto a different opponent, but the AJ vs. Kaitlyn storyline never really wrapped up. I think some sort of stipulation match at Night of Champions would have been fitting. A No Disqualification Match for the Divas Title between the two could have been a lot of fun. Dean Ambrose doesn't seem to have an opponent locked for the US Title. Rumors are suggesting that it will be Dolph Ziggler, and that seems to make about as much sense as anything. The weird thing about Night of Champions is that because you have a lot of main eventers to feature, but every title needs to be defended, you get main eventers going after mid-card titles. Ambrose vs. Ziggler would be an awesome match, so it'd be foolish to complain, but it just doesn't seem right for some reason. I don't really want to see Ziggler as US Champion, but I could see them actually putting him over Ambrose and giving him a random run with the title. Ziggler could then move on to feud with The Real Americans over the title and have some amazing matches. Dolph could cut promos about how he is going to take the title to new heights, and maybe even have a brief Champion vs. Champion feud with Alberto Del Rio. Punk vs. Axel & Heyman would be a pretty intriguing feature match for the PPV. Like with Ziggler and the US Title, I could see the WWE just giving Punk a token reign with the title to try and make people care about it and create the sense that things are changing. But I would enjoy Johnny Curtis revealing himself to be a new Paul Heyman Guy and beginning a program with CM Punk heading into Hell in a Cell while Axel defends the IC Title against Kofi Kingston, his old NXT Pro. Since he's really got nothing going on at the moment, but they do seem to want to feature him, I could see Big E. Langston joining up with Heyman too. Why not a double-shocker and have Heyman take on both guys? They're different enough and already recognizable to audiences. |

I didn't consider the possibility of Heyman and AJ together though. That would be interesting. AJ doesn't really need help with her promos, but the on-screen chemistry between AJ and Heyman's characters could be amazing. If this somehow leads to Paul Heyman sending Brock Lesnar up against Dolph Ziggler at Survivor Series, then I would be greatly entertained. |

It would also make total sense from a storytelling point of view for Triple H to actually reach out to Heyman to try and stop Daniel Bryan, if he goes on a tear against the new Corporation. Lesnar vs. Bryan would be a pretty amazing match later this year.

Maybe the Shield, Big E, Brock (or Orton giving him a title shot night off Corporation doesn't need its champion fighting on every ppv) Vs. Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler and maybe Henry and the Big Show if their feud with the Shield isn't dead by then (which it probably will be.) Or any other face that pisses off the Regime. |

That would be pretty great. I love Elimination Tag Matches. I'm thinking now that DB might actually have a shot at winning at Night of Champions now. It might seem like a rushed conclusion, but I could see heel interference being stopped by someone valiant and ready to take on the Corporation themselves. Big Show has his iron clad contract as an excuse, but you also have the possibility of it being CM Punk.
Bryan would then force Orton to submit and become a two-time WWE Champion. Orton begins a rivalry with whoever it was that cancelled out the involvement in his match while Bryan challenges Triple H to try and take the WWE Title from him. Bryan wins at Battleground while Orton beats whoever it was that cost him the title. Bryan then beats Triple H in Hell in a Cell while Orton beats someone else or something. Survivor Series could be Orton challenging Bryan for the WWE Title, the SS Elimination Tag or a possible Bryan vs. Brock match, where Paul Heyman offers Brock's services to Triple H to get the WWE Title off Bryan, but in doing so, he has certain "requests." If Brock beats Bryan, Heyman gets to take over as the General Manager of both RAW and SmackDown, and Triple H must take care of his CM Punk problem. Triple H, Randy Orton & The Shield then align to do battle with CM Punk and a group of super-friends while Bryan vs. Lesnar headlines. In a perfect world, Punk would find a way to get The Undertaker onto his side to settle his score with The Shield. |
