So Undertaker's done, right?
Could be all the herbs I've smoked today but just the lack of modified low-end
on the Undertake's voice during the video recap of his fued with Bray Wyatt on Smackdown triggered the feeling that the Dead Man will arrive at Wrestlemania this year only to finish his legacy like a graceful pro-wrestler should and pass the torch down to a gimmick that can continue to exist in today's product with a relation to dark arts. Taker sounds like an old man. He's gonna die (retire). |

If this does wind up being Taker's farewell match and he "passes the torch" down to Wyatt somehow, it'll piss me off even more that Wyatt jobbed at Mania last year just cause it eliminated even a faint chance of him building an impressive WM winning streak to hammer the point home that he's the new supernatural guy.

Then again I can easily see any potential WM streak get nipped in the bud quickly for a while. I'm sure WWE will eventually have someone try to challenge the streak but maybe they'll want to wait a good while. Really whoever it is needs to be someone they see being around for ages.

WWE's demographics have changed dramatically with an increasingly younger fan base and I suspect such fans do not hold as much loyalty to the brand or to wrestling i.e. they will eventually grow out of it. In that sense there would be no need for a streak because who would they be showing it off to? It would be like Stephen Hawking lecturing to an empty room. |

I would be shocked if WWE didn't ask undertaker to come back for wrestlemania every year. I really think it's up to taker to say when he's done. Otherwise, WWE will find a spot for him and milk it for every dollar they can.

I don't want 'Taker to lose again.
I don't really wanna see him at Wrestlemania anymore either, but if he does, it'll kinda lose the importance of Lesnar's victory if multiple people start beating him. |

Yeah, I feel the same. It almost like Bray needs the win, but by doing so will tarnish Lesnar's victory from last year a little bit. This almost has to be his last match, unless he faces Cena and goes over to end his career next year. Having three straight losses kills the streak, and Bray losing this year kills him.

I think a loss to Bray this year should end Taker. Lesnar killed him last year. Bray is the buzzard that picks the bones clean.

It would be stupid to not allow Bray Wyatt to win this match imo and should have been the one to end of the streak or Sting. I've made it quite clear how I feel about Lesnar and him being "the one" in 21 and 1 made all the worse given the match itself was terrible.
How Taker has magically gone from looking deadpan to the deadman fit enough to wrestle surprises me. |

I say do this:
Sting beats Triple H and becomes the GM or whatever. Undertaker loses to Wyatt and appears on RAW the next night on the mic talking about how this is it and it's time to retire. Out comes Sting to a huge pop they circle each other in the ring etc then Sting and Taker talk about how much they respect each other and how they never fought and never will. But then Sting offers him a match a WM 32 and says its the match everyone including themselves, have wanted to see and that they owe the fans this match and that he owes the fans one more match to "say goodbye". And so we set the wheels in motion. We know it will be his final match and people will be hyped up for that reason. This way with Wyatt we have no idea what will happen etc. And I don't think Sting will be unhappy to lose to Taker at Mania either. Win win situation. Not as much riding on it as it would have been had the streak been alive and had both men been in their prime. But think back to WM 24 HBK v Ric Flair was a great match and though not the main event we were hooked because we believed (and were right) that it was going to be Flair's final match. |

The Sting V Undertaker scenario will only be likely after we've seen how well Sting can endure a match. If he pulls it off against Triple H then I'd say go for it.

Feel like with Mania in Texas next year Taker is gonna be there. I would like to see Bray beat him this year and have his final win at next years against Sting.

Kinda feel like he should compete at and win @ WM 31-33, let his legacy be winning 24 out of 25 WM matches.

If undertaker loses he should become Bray Wyatt's butler.

Bray needs to win to make up for the injustice of having him lose to Cena last year. Have Sting run the joint once he vanquishes Triple H, come out on Raw and offer Taker a match at WM32, no stipulations as it we know it'll be Taker's final match and probably Sting's. Two ring legends have one good match like Flair and Sting did on the final Nitro which was ironically the best match in WCW post 1998. If anything that was the best Nitro post the fingerpoke. So when the pressure is off and you know this is the final curtain call it usually brings out a great performance. |

The booking feels right for a Bray win. The big question is how they deal with Taker's loss. Is he broken? Is he carried away? Does he get a respect pop after he sits up? I'm not too interested in the style that these two will work, but I hope my expectations lead to me being pleasantly surprised.

They can build it up like they did with Rock v Cena I "The End of an Era" as we will know for sure it's his final match, HoF induction etc. It would feel right to have the Undertaker close out the show he has dominated for so many years in the stadium of his home state. I have a feeling Sting and Undertaker or Cena and Undertaker will both be good matches. |

Takers legacy is that he won 21 straight WM that said the diehard fan in me can't help feeling that his legacy is tarnished every time he suffers a loss.
Still crossing my fingers for Taker V Sting to be his last match. |

In the grand scheme of things, Lesnar beating Taker and going on as the most dominant dominant heel champion in ages has gone a long way, imo.

I maintain had WWE known Sting was going to sign they'd have allowed Taker to get the win over Lesnar to set up Sting v Undertaker for WM31. I'm not a Lesnar fan so my bias against is obvious. But the loss has tarnished Undertaker's legacy imo and whether that's to do with backroom politics etc who knows. It was the one thing he had that made him special compared to other ring legends. Now he is just like all the others. |
