Boxing vs MMA discussion thread!
The UFC is a permanent part of the sports culture it's a much more exciting sport than the other combat sports out there and that's why it's going to continue to stay here and that's why it's the fastest growing sport in the world. And people describe MMA as human cock fighting you know what MMA is? It's actual fighting. You know what boxing is? It's a very limited form of fighting. It's kind of like a silly agreement it's like "Alright we're gonna duke it out man to man but we're only going to use our hands" that's it. What MMA is it's the actual form of fighting it covers all aspects of fighting. Ground game, kicking, punching, submissions elbows all of the above. It's much more exciting that's why it's a much more dynamic sport. What boxing is 1 aspect of mixed martial arts. I don't agree with elbows and I think there's things that can be moved around but it's the aspect of fighting. And there's a lot of things in boxing that are ineffective all the bobbing and weaving and shoulder rolls all the beautiful moves that pernell Whitaker and James tony. I'm a boxing fan I love boxing but what the boxing fans don't understand is that your sport is getting swallowed it's a dying breed by a more spectacular sport. The only famous people now are the only ones that are going to exist in the future the Oscar Delahoyahs the Floyd mayweathers the manny Paquiaos there will be no new ones. And people think ufc is the only company who have good fights. Bellator puts on entertaining fights the IFL Pride bodawg fights there's many organizations that put on great fights. Wrestlers, people from the Olympics and other they didn't have a avenue after there sport so mma was there only way to show case their skills
