Triple H playing games again?

Personally, I got tired with the Triple H bashing a long time ago. Back then, people had at least a good arguement for it, now it's "He's only there because he's fucking Stephanie!", or stories such as the one above...

Triple H has improved a lot recently. He's not back to his best (2001), and he probably never will be due to his quad injury, but he's improved an awful lot. He's had great matches with HBK, the two Triple Threat matches, and he put over Shelton Benjamin and Tajiri also...

Yeah, HBK made me laugh a little on a Raw before WrestleMania when he said the feud between himself and Triple H is nearly ten years in the making. It's no where near ten years...

Personally, I really enjoy their matches. I've always really liked both HBK and Triple H, and I think they gel very well together in the ring. Also, pretty much every time they've met it has been under different stipulations. The first time was all on emotion, the Last Man Standing, Elimination Chamber, Triple Threat, Three Stages of Hell and now Hell in a Cell. I think as long as you're keeping the matches fresh (such as the stipulations), two people can fight as many times as they wish, especially when those two are Triple H and Shawn Michaels...

As long as the World Title is kept off Hunter, I don't care.

The Hell in a Cell match will draw more than Benoit vs. Kane anyway, putting it in the main event is smart booking.

Disclaimer: This is my opinion, nothing else... Some points may or may not be valid...

Let me first say that I do enjoy their matches, but this is getting out of control...

This feud has been off and on for the better part of 2 years... (Going to be two years this late June/early July) You cant tell me that Triple H isnt pulling SOMTHING when him and his best friend have been in more PPV main events/Semi Main Events together than anyone in recent-not so recent history...

(I could be missing a few)

Thats about seven f**king main events/semi main events in two years WITH THE SAME TWO WRESTLERS... And god only knows how many Raw main events there were with these two in the match...

This feud has long past it's experation date, and the only thing keeping it alive is Michaels' and Hunter's backstage power...

Or maybe they remain two of the biggest names in the business because they make it a point to keep themselves in the main event....

This topic has been done to death, but you can't seriously tell me you don't think that the owner's son-in-law has no pull backstage. Triple H has improved in thelast couple weeks, and he has jobbed a little more lately, but Raw is still basically centered on him. Lord, last week they had Randy Orton come out and talk about Triple H, another angle where all of Evolution got together to talk about Triple H, and then Kane couldn't eliminate Triple H without help.

At least recently his in-ring work has come close to justifying his massive push.

Sorry guy, but nobody cares about this feud anymore. HBK gets exceedingly less popular by the week, and Hunter...well...Hunter hasn't been anything NEAR par in the last 3 years. It's like 9 matches between 2 guys who just won't let it die. Sad thing is, I think even they know that the feud needed to be laid to rest like 6 matches ago.

Hasn't he ALWAYS been playing games? This is isn't anything new. How is it mere coincidence that the most in-depth and lengthy and well-laid out feud of the past 5 years just happens to include Triple H and his best buddy? Meanwhile, everyone else mucking around the mid-card is trading wins and doing practically jack squat, SmackDown! included. Of course it's going to garner interest and possibly draw when you put THAT much effort into it. If they had put half as much oomph into everything else, there wouldn't have been as much negativity over the past 2 years as there was.

Triple H needs to become a LOT better to justify his continuous hogging of the main event.

I don't give a fuck. He's improved, but he's nowhere near 99-00 Hunter. He's still not entertaining me. This bullshit's getting insane, whether you blame it on backstage politics or not.

Well let's do a match prediction:

1. HHH will bleed from his forehead, but it'll never make it past his eyebrows.
2. HBK will bleed like he has been hit in the face with a cannon full of grapeshot.
3. Within 5 minutes of the match starting, HBK's bald spot will be showing.
4. There'll be a few pedigree set-ups, turning into back-body drops.
5. There'll be a few Sweet Chin Music near misses.
6. HBK will drop the elbow and miss
7. There'll be loads of kick-outs
8. Ric Flair will be red in the face at some point.
9. It'll probably end in a draw with another re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-match. (tbc)

I don't think it'll be a draw, I think HHH will win via Evolution interference and THEN we get to see another re-re-re-re-re-re-re-match.

That is how I feel. Now if Triple H had the world title rite now for some fucked up reason, that is when I would be pissed. I would rather see just a rivalry match between these two then a WWE championship match like at Royal Rumble 04 and Armageddon.

The point is, the WWE booked Benoit strong at Wrestlemania and Backlash, and he had momentum, if they had pushed him as the main focus of the show, he could be on his way to stardom, but Triple H and his buddy are STILL the main focus of the show. How the hell can the WWE justify having a whole Raw dedicated to Shawn and Him doing nothing but brawl? The match between Benoit and Kane is 3 weeks away, and they weren't even involved together this week, yet Shawn and Hunter had about what....8, 9 segments?

Basically, Triple H is keeping himself the focus of the show, so that Benoit looks like a paper champion for a few months before he can get it back, it is blatantly obvious.

Everyone got off Triple H's back because at the time, it seemed like he was doing what was right for business, but its the same old story. What is even more ridiculous is that Benoit's segments HAVE been drawing recently, far more than Triple H did when he was Champion. So surely, if the WWE want to improve ratings, they should push the guy who is drawing, but Triple H is still at the VERY TOP of the card, and the only reason for it is politics.

On the matter of putting over Benjamin and Tajiri. Tajiri was barely put over. It was the same as a few years ago when Kai En Tai went up against Austin and Triple H, Austin and Triple H made them look like they could win, but then beat them, it did nothing for either Funaki or Taka, and it wont do anything for Tajiri. Also, yeah, sure he put over Benjamin, and props to him for doing it. But the only reason he did it, was because Benjamin doesn't threaten his position at the top of the company by going over him, if Benoit is pushed as the highlight of the show, Triple H makes less money. What he doesn't realise is that if Benoit is pushed strong, and Triple H is still in the running, the match could draw big, and make both men plenty of money. Benoit going over Kane wont do a whole lot of good for either of them, as Kane looks weak AGAIN on PPV and Benoit goes over someone who's hardly been booked strong for 8 months, and whose shot comes as a result of....guess what, the HHH/Shawn fued!!!

4: Benoit will attempt the flying headbutt, but Kane will sit up at the last second.

5: Lita will interfere

6: Matt Hardy will interfere

7: 5 minutes into the match, Kane will be out of breath and everything will slooooooooowwwww dooooowwwwwwnnnn..........

8: Kane will chase the ref out of the ring or will throw him out.

9: There will be loads of kickouts.

10: It will be nothing we haven't seen before...
