Big Cass, big future?
What do you folks think Cass could go onto achieve in WWE?

He seems to have the look, can go in the ring and isn't too bad on the mic.

I've just been reading about some of the volunteering work he used to do at a homeless shelter and for another community charity which would appear he'd be great as a company representative as well.

I personally think he's got great potential. After Enzo's injury at Payback I was pleasantly surprised with how he performed on his own, and the crowd still seemed into him. That being said, I'd love to see Cass and Enzo stay as a team and slowly work up the ranks together (after successful stints as tag champs), with Cass challenging for WWE Universal Championship with Enzo's support, while Enzo tears up the mid card rather than the two eventually splitting. They have great potential to be the major faces of Raw in my opinion.

So, what's your thoughts?

I think the sum is greater than its parts with these guys. Much more into Enzo & Cass than I would be as individuals.

He's good, but he'll forever be living in the shadow of Enzo's charisma.

With that said, they both work click better as a team than as two singles stars, and if they do both go for singles titles in the future, it'd be great for them to still remain as a team, like the original poster suggested.

As long as him and Enzo stay together he can be a huge star. I think they will dominate the Tag division for a bit though. Cass is not the best talker and I feel the SWAFT stuff would get old on its own quick. I'd like to see the stay together even once they go into singles competition. Cass as the Universal Champion and Enzo as the Cruiserweight Champion.

Way too early to even consider splitting him from Enzo. Even though he was somewhat decent during the time Enzo was out recovering, he'd probably end up like every other tag team in recent years that got split up prematurely.

WWE gives him a small push at the start but no guarantee they don't lose interest very quickly or bail the moment he starts to struggle.

I wouldnt split him from Enzo, but i would split Enzo from Cass. If that makes sense. I think the longer Cass can stay with Enzo, the better he will get, but Enzo is red hot right now. And i dont know how much longer they can keep Enzo with Cass. And its pretty much a given that they'll work a HBK/Diesle type split or and HBK/ Marty Jaenette type split. If they dont they are stupid. I like Cass, but Enzo needs to be set free.

He was pretty good in singles competition when Enzo was busy being the realist guy in the emergency room.

Fact is, singles guys are more marketable in the long run than tag teams, and sell more tickets too. True individual star trumps top tag team, so those hoping they dont try it will be disappointed. They will definitely try it, it's just a matter of when they do.

I think it will come more quickly than people hope, for two reasons. One, with the brand split, there aren't enough tag teams to run through, and they could be all out of potential feuds very quickly. Two, the need for singles stars is all the greater now that we have a split. A marketable 7 foot world champ who is articulate and can have good matches, PLUS a potential marquee star for a budding cruiser division would be worth much more than a very over tag team.

I personally think that Enzo will always be limited because of his size, but Cass can be a very big deal. I can imagine how high Vince would be on someone like him and he showed enough in his brief cameo, during enzos injury, that he can perform on his own and has good matches. His size alone would be enough for them, but he has real tools too.

Will be interesting to see what happens to both guys.

New Day were the champs for like half a year with only the Usos to feud with. Enzo and Cass will have a bunch of teams to feud with. Especially if the tag belts will float around.

New Day has also been killing it with merchandise as well. If done right a team can be marketed just as well as a singles guy.

...to a point. If you asked the bigwigs at WWE they would still go for two credible single stars over a tag team.

If one of New Day were 7 feet tall, I think you would have already seen them split. I can't see any way they won't try it and I actually think a Shawn/Diesel split, like mentioned above, would be the way to go.

If they are established beforehand, you can always throw them back together again, and I think that will be the company's atitude too

Cass is great for a big man, and I think down the line he has some potential, but right now he's not ready at all. His mic work is definitely above average, but he's in Enzo's shadow. What's more he doesn't really have much of an identity yet IMO. He's just "the big guy that Enzo hangs with" right now. Anyway like some others have said if they do go for singles titles down the line they should remain together anyway. We haven't really seen that sort of thing much in wrestling and I think that needs to change. Two best friends who actually remain best friends in the wrestling industry could be a fun change of pace, and if they remain together Cass could still benefit from Enzo's crazy charisma. All of this should definitely be held off for a long while though. Let them get established as a major tag-team first.

I like Cass more than Enzo. I mean, Enzo kills it on the mic, but there are different types of charisma. Cass seems like he would be cool to hang out with. I don't think he's bad on the mic at all, and they've been very careful with him. They've got gold at the moment because they can use Enzo to sponge up falls for him, but if they want Enzo to be a star, they need to be careful with that too. Occasional singles squash matches where each gets to show their stuff off would be a fine idea.

Given that weight classes are now a joke in WWE, they could very easily put the Universal Title on Enzo and people would lap it up. He wouldn't get a long or dominant run as a babyface champion, but it could make for some exciting television, which is all the WWE cares about right now. I can imagine him winning the belt in a fluke as a babyface and if it works him being a permanent part of the main event scene.

I feel like Big Cass as a singles star is a victim of the era. 30 years ago, Big Cass would be on the rise as a singles star, with Enzo Amore as his manager.

The first time I saw him I said, "Shit, he's raw, but Vince will push him to the moon."

Personally, the only way I see it happening is as a face with Enzo as a mouthpiece/manager, rather than a tag team partner/active wrestler, which isn't a big deal because Enzo is the definition of a marginal wrestler anyway.

Very true. Guess I could have seen Gunn getting a short title reign. Maybe. Wouldn't have been a 100% bet or anything but ya Swagger.

Like what most have said, they should keep the two together for a while and allow organic development. Otherwise, he will become the next Roman Reigns (see how much people liked Reigns as part of the Shield vs when he got force pushed to the moon). Cass is a solid talker, but I do think he has a robotic cadence to his speech that sounds rehearsed (catchphrase excluded). The lines themselves are great, but he doesn't have quite a natural talking flow... at least not yet. He could improve on that delivery aspect before he gets his singles push.
