I'll probably be the only one who thinks this is a tough match. Cena is the only reason wrestling hasn’t gone through a recession. He had been a driving force for he industry for a considerable amount of time. But Cena is a star at a time when there arent any stars. That makes his star shine much brighter.

Goldberg was a shimmering star during meteor shower. He stood out in a big way while generating tons of revenue. His only real negative is how long he was at the top.

I wil have to think on this one a bit before I decide.

Goldberg was the first wrestler I was ever a mark for, he made you give a shit when he was on camera.

But his run was also only a few years and, let's be honest, he was always more about character, look, and the intimidation factor than he was about putting on good matches. Cena on the other hand does everything extremely well AND has been on top for nearly a dozen years.

Goldberg was a no-name rocketed to the top despite being sloppy as fuck he had no real mic skills but made up for it with presence(Cena has both is spades)

And when Cena tries new things it feels like he had been working on it Goldberg seemed like he liked to surprise his opponents with a move he thought of that same morning and the only warning you get is "do you trust me?"

I was a huge, HUGE Goldberg mark back in the day, but by his 2003 WWE run I was wise to the ins and outs of pro wrestling. I don't dislike him, but Cena beats him in ever catagory, from in-ring work, mic skills, to just general company representation and charity work etc.

Not gonna deny, depending on the outcome of Goldberg/Lesnar, I don't really wanna see Goldberg stick around, or come-and-go regularly like Lesnar does, but I wouldn't mind seeing Goldberg vs. John Cena.

Goldberg was a bigger success in a shorter space of time, but Cena has been a sustainable main event presence. Cena is one of the few guys on the current WWE roster that could hold a candle to Goldberg based on star power. A good match-up.
