Why does everyone like Halo and Halo 2 so much?

Bricktop your nemesis Posts: 2,023	Why does everyone like Halo and Halo 2 so much? Can someone tell me why this game gets so much praise compared to games like half-life, ut2004 and return to castle wolfenstein? I just don't see anything that makes an above average first person shooter.
