Ok, I'm not sure what that has to do with Kevin Garnett or Tim Duncan but ok.

Also, if you watched the Wolves-Lakers series, you saw people from Minnesota at the game with Laker jerseys. Unless they drove from Cali to Minnesota

The reason I'm such a big Lakers fan is because I'm a huge Shaq fan. I've followed him since LSU so ya know

There are a lot of Kobe and Shaq fans out there, but I would think most of them are more fans of the player than of the team. Like a lot of people out there have T-Mac jerseys, but I bet hardly any of them are Magic fans.

This really is a tough decision, because I think without a doubt this was narrowed down to the two best guys. Duncan has two championships and great fundamentals. He blocks the ball more than KG, and scores about the same. KG outrebounded Duncan this year, as I think he gets more assists aswell. Both are capable of taking over a game. If I had to say, I would say that Duncan is more of a dominant force where as KG is more of an emotional sparkplug, for some reason I just trust Duncan when he is shooting more than KG. Of course I am bias, but I would probably take KG, just because he has the heart and drive, and until he wins a championship he will be working his ass off to get there.

I would consider myself lucky to have either guy and/or any of the guys you listed in the first round.

Of course I would consider myself luckier to have some of them rather than others.

If that makes sense.

Old people are all about the Minneapolis Lakers.

16 years ago, there was no NBA team in Minnesota. So that left us with... Milwaukee Bucks? Chicago Bulls? Minneapolis Lakers?

Minnesota fans are notorious bandwagon jumpers. The Bulls were FUCKING HUGE here, but they were huge everywhere. Now, the Wolves beat them a few years ago by 50 or so points. Amazing.

Anyway, Phil Jackson is from like North or South Dakota, so that could explain some of his fans up hurr.

ALSO.

Duncan couldn't get out of the 2nd round this year without David Robinson. His MVP years are behind him, because the Admiral was a true Center who could defend Shaq. Rasho can't hold Shaq's jock strap.

Duncan had to contend with Shaq and Malone all by himself and lost 4-2. KG had his team injured and lost 4-2. Wolves won more games, KG had better stats, his efficiency was UNBELIEVABLY higher than Duncan's... I don't care if you like TD better, KG is better. His numbers prove it.

Proven winner? KG hit shots from all over the court all Playoffs when time was running out. He was clutch as hell. Took the Kings to 7 and won it.

Noooooooo comparison. And KG is not only an emotional leader, but he makes everyone feel welcomed. Two of the biggest black sheep in the NBA, Sam and Spree, love it here. Have from the moment they showed up.

If you take away the last .4 seconds of game 5 in the Lakers-Spurs series then the Spurs would be in the finals right now.

And Robinson was a shell of his former self last year, so I don't know how you can say that Duncan is nothing without him. Especially since he was still second in MVP voting this year.

Don't get me wrong, KG is amazing but you can't say that he single handedly took the Kings to 7. Especially since he didn't have an amazing game until game 7, and considering that Webber with one leg was guarding him, that is pretty sad.

Duncan has 2 rings and 2 MVP trophies, he won that last title by himself, I don't care what you say Robinson was nothing more than a role player at best.

Robinson was a defender, a leader, a tough, aggressive player. Rasho is a creampuff. He's a 7' small forward with the shooting ability of a Center. Robinson helped defend Shaq. Trust me, I'm a Wolves fan. I know that Rasho is fucking afraid of Shaq. Always has been. Robinson wasn't. He made things easier for Duncan last year. Role player or not, he was a key piece to the Spurs beating the Lakers. Just like he (Robinson) was the one who took the championship a few years earlier, with help from Duncan.

Duncan hit a fluke shot with .4 seconds left. Fisher hit one of his own. The Spurs were still up 2-1. NBA Finals? You have no idea. Conceivably, there would have been 7 games. And if Fisher didn't hit that shot, maybe Minnesota could be in the finals (taking on a fully-rested Lakers with 1 day rest for the banged-up wolves, wtf, THANKS FOR CHOKING, SPURS).

Anyway, KG got help, yes, but he was the MVP of the Kings series. No doubt about it. And when it came time, he was the only T'Wolf to step up in Game 7.

Against Webber with one leg? Did you not see that series? Most of the time when KG wasn't being triple-teamed, he had Brad Miller beating the shit out of him. Webber.

Yeah Webber hit lots of shots. So what? KG was guarding the post and leaving Webber open for mid-range jumpers. They made the choice. It wasn't KG not being able to guard Webber... it's him not trying.

Speaking of being triple teamed, that leads me to my next point: KG gets triple teamed, and the rest of the team stands around, we will lose. KG gets triple teamed and players get open AND HIT THEIR SHOTS, we win. Spre, Sam, Wally, Hoiberg, Hassell, all had moments when they were wide open as hell. The Centers, too. Everyone but the Centers stepped up vs the Kings... and vs the Lakers, Spre was the only help KG got.

Anyway, you closed your post by saying 2 trophies... 2 rings... KG was far and away the most valuable player to his team in the NBA last year, but it's not about that, it's about "best player of best team," therefore Duncan got it. But when you look at the stats of when he's in or not in a game, without KG... there was no T'Wolves team. And whether Robinson was a force or not last year... he was still the Admiral, and he still defended Shaq way way way way better than Rasho did.

If you'd put KG on the Spurs, he would be a proven winner by now as well.

Then again given that he's already won it all twice you could make a strong arguement for saying that Tim Duncan would have had more success with Minnesota than KG has.

Never easy to decide.

Both phenomonal talents.

KG just because he presents just a little harder matchup problem, but that takes nothing away from Duncan, who's just as unstopable.
