Jack Reacher series is subtly diverse
...and I don't like it.

The coroner is just randomly a fat gay Hispanic man and I find the resemblance between him and myself to be problematic.

The show started fairly strong, but is kind of getting ridiculous. They're basically apologizing for the fact the protagonist is a blond white guy on steroids by showing flashbacks of him fighting bullies as a kid.

There's a pretty hilarious scene where the older bullies have this adorable downs kid and they're having him dance for their entertainment.

He is really cute and kind of a good dancer, so it's really not effective to have the heroes beat the bullies up.

It's sort of like season 2 of Punisher where you can tell some woke intern wrote all of it.

It's time to make TPWW MEAT again!

It's weird, but I tend to enjoy black actors more. The head investigator is a bit overdoing it, but I like the character.

my only wish it was about talent. first and only. i love the form and i feel like in recent years the role of casting director has shifted from a key figure in the artistic endeavor into a way to check boxes on a list. that hurts the medium.
