How i would do things on Raw
Inspired by the how i would fix Smackdown! thread, here's how i would change raw..
World Champion: Chris Benoit Make him the focus of the show so people actually care about the world title match, not sum feud thats been going on for 3 years and is completly stale. Make his rivalry with Kane mean something, and you don't do that by making Kane act like a coward to Benoit at the end of a show, you do it by making him look like a threat. After Benoit beats Kane, have him feud with edge and turn heel and they can have a long feud which has Edge getting the title but Benoit wins it back the PPV after. Give HHH/HBK some time off so more wrestlers get some TV time, and HHH can go and make his movie after the hell in a cell match. IC title: Keep the Orton/Benjamin feud going on till Summerslam, and then Benjamin can finally get the IC title in a ladder match or something, can't think of a stip right now. Then afterwards Benjamin can feud with Batista for the title and Orton can go into a high profile feud with someone, maybe HHH on his return from his movie. Tag team titles: Keep La resistance as tag champs for a while, and make lots of new tag teams by teams having to earn a shot through some kind of tag team tournament, this could open up a whole new load of feuds, and make the tag team division mean something. And a couple of other things, 1) Bring back the European title, and 2) move the womens division to smackdown or scrap it. Last edited by Londoner; 06-07-2004 at 07:54 AM. |

To me it doesn't sound like you're changing anything. What you have just said is either:
-Re-hashing what someone has already said. -propose an idea that the wwe are probably going to do anyway. or -A bad idea. |

Actually forget the feud with Edge, move Christian and Jericho into the title picture, have edge and christian compete for the no.1 contendership and make Jericho face Benoit for the title after bad blood, with Benoit as heel...Any better?

i'd say keep ther title on the crippler, but get him in a big arse feud where its just him and sum1 else (not him and two other guys). I'd say edge could work, but maybe not 4 a few months @ least.
I think an excellent program could be had with Xtian, or if benoit turned, Jericho For IC belt, I think orton needs to drop it soonish, he's getting too big 4 it. sum1 like shelton, hardy, hurricane, Batista, Xtian deserves it Tag titles: la resistance could feud with rosey and hurricane?, Val venis and sum1 (lance storm) Women's title: meh, victoria is ok. Molly shud get it back soonish tho |

And i agree, i dont think jericho will ever get a proper run as World heavyweight champ even if he did win the title, thats such a waste of talent though, i guess the excuse will be 'we couldn't find any use for him'..or something.

I'm not even going to go into the 'HHH hogs the limelight' issue, but tackle another one on the list.
One of my beefs with RAW is that there aren't people vocally wanting a title shot, or challenging for it. HHH, HBK - no surprise there, but then they are competing against each other. However, you don't see anyone on RAW doing things to get a title shot. Benoit is THE CHAMP! He should have to defend the title every week on RAW, because there should be a queue of people wanting to challenge him for it! But apparently there are no hungry, ambitious, wrestlers on RAW?  If you think about it, these people that do favours for Bischoff should be doing it in return for a title shot. Otherwise why are they there? Regardless of face or heel, everyone should be bugging Bischoff for a shot at the belt, at every opportunity. That would get over to the fans that ALL the wrestlers want what Benoit has. That would in turn make people appreciate how good Benoit must be to hold on to it. That in turn would also elevate the title way higher than it is, and by definition, it would also elevate the wrestler who holds the IC title. Just some thoughts from an under-rated poster..... |

Matt Hardy: Stop it guys! Just Stop it! Matt Hardys a good wrestler. Is he in the same league with Christian and Jericho and Randy Orton? No!! Christian and Edge broke the Tag Team stigma, and they did it nicely. Hardy is a TAG TEAM WRESTLER, and for me, he's having a hard time proving otherwise. If they give him a big push, fine by me, but if he can beat Christian, that'll lead me to think that e can beat Jericho...and thats just not feasible. Now theres a couple guys who could make the IC title branch reeal interesting. Shelton Benjamin is one. Edge is one. VAL VENIS IS ONE(yeah, thats right.). And believe it or not guys, Christian is one. With guys like Benoit and Triple H and Kane and Jericho and HBK around, Christian will not be breaking into the Main Event. Flame me if you want, but Tyson Tomko has a better chance than Christian does. I like the guy.......but I dont think it'll happen. Just like everybodys "heel RVD" dream. Great in theory.......shitty writers. One last thing.......and this goes along with some ideas from my under-rated friend big_bluto........has anybody seen or even read about TNA? Now I dont watch it a whole lot, but I know this: the Title Picture is a HOT SCENE right now. Its on FIRE , in fact. Everbody wants the Title. WWE needs to think about that. It needs to think hard. I don't think Benoit should defend it every week on Raw otherwise we'll get bored with wwe title matches, but it does need lots of people competing for it. But i don't think thats gonna happen because anyone who takes the title off Benoit now, wont be holding it for very long because when HHH comes back there's no doubt he'll get the title back. HHH has destroyed all the competition in WWE and now were seeing the aftermath of that.
I hope TNA doesn't destroy its title picture with JJ the same way WWE has with HHH, because otherwise TNA will be definately gone within six months. BUt they're doing at the moment what i want WWE to do which is frustrating,(though JJ has to drop the title to Styles or Raven) hopefully the writers in WWE will get new ideas from TNA and be inspired or something... |
