Fully Loaded 2000 - The Rock vs. Chris Benoit! for the WWF Title.

Highly entertaining match. Lots of hot moves. Benoit has stepped up his game since arriving with the Radicals. But wait, whats this?

JR: Bah Gad Benoit just clocked the Rock with a Steel Chair!

King: He pinned him!!! Benoits the Champ!!!!!

***Foleys music hits***

JR: Foleys forcing this match continue! I don't believe it!!!

King: Rock Bottom! It over!!!!

Benoit held the title for less than 60 seconds that night. But wait! - theres more:

Unforgiven 2000- The Rock vs. Kane vs. Taker vs. Benoit Fatal 4-way

(From what I remember, this was one great month for WWF T-V)

The match was great, Kane had new attire and was fitting well with his monster gimmick. But wait, whats this?

JR: BAH GAWD CHAIR SHOT TO THE ROCK!

King: He pinned him! Hes the Champ!!!

Needless to say, Benoit has held the Title twice already. So whats all of this fuss about him winning his first Heavyweigt Championship? Unbelievable!

Just like when he won the title in WCW. The last show he appeared on in WCW he won the title against Sid Vicious with Arn Anderson as the ref. Then the next night he was on Raw and on Nitro they had Arn Anderson come out and say that either Beniot or Sids foot was under the rope at the time so it did not count. That is just another thing that they did to scratch him off a title run.

In the records, im fairly sure it does state that Benoit did win the title then, but then vacated it

When the match is continued like that, it usually means that the pinfall was negated and that the match will, obviously, continue. If Foley came out and said, "You cheated in your match. But we'll have ANOTHER match right now!" then the results of the first match would be final and Benoit would be the champion for less than 60 seconds. Are you understanding now? Benoit wasn't the champ because his pinfall didn't count.....or are you basing this on the fact that King said he was champ. Here's a clue: JR has called matches in which he said that "lightning" hit the ringpost, when the live audience only saw a pyro go off. No lightning. Does that mean that the lightning was really there? No. King was wrong. He's always wrong, except when he's talking about tits.

And to clarify....Benoit was announced as Champion of WCW on January 16, 2000...however on January 17, 2000 WCW declared the title vacant, AND claimed the victory was null and void. There for for 24 hours Benoit was Champ, but it is like winning Miss America and then they find out you were in porn (...not that that ever happened) and they not only strip you of your title, but declare that it never happened. They don't deny Benoit WON the title in the match, nor did they strip the match from the record books, just declared that an erronious winner was named...and therefore denied Benoit's title reign.

I promise you guys i'm not stupid enough to believe everything that King and J.R. say. If fact, I hardly believe any of it. In my beginning post, i was kind of being funny, but also hinting that Benoit in a way has alrady tasted the gold, so his wrestlemania win didn't really mean as much as it seemed.

Being that I was at Unforgiven 2000 (at the First Union Center), Benoit chair-shooted The Undertaker and made a cover while Taker's foot was on the bottom rope and the referee made the 3-count. Foley comes out, match restarted.... Rock wins and retains the Gold.

No...WCW never denied the match took place, they just denied that Benoit ever won the title...The match wasn't taken off the record book, just the winning...kind of like going back and declaring a no contest after the match ended...

No I meant that I'm pretty sure that they know recognize Benoit as a one time WCW champion.
