Affleck Says J-Lo "Hurt His Career"
Movie hunk Ben Affleck has blamed his high-profile relationship with
fiancee Jennifer Lopez for wrecking his career. The Changing Lanes star blames "constant media exposure" surrounding the high-profile lovers for his dwindling credibility as an actor. Ben says, "My relationship with Jennifer has absolutely been bad for my career. The overexposure this year has been really damaging. The combination of me and Jennifer as a unit became more important than the parts we did in movies". "It's not good when everybody knows everything about you - the mystique disappears. The whole world knew what we were doing on a daily basis. They wrote that we had bought jeans for half a million dollars. It made people think bad about us.But it's not important.People who regard that as important have lost their soul". I don't think his relationship with her hurt his career; I think that making Gigli with her did. |

I like Affleck. Well I say 'like' what I mean is I don't have anything against him in the way a lot of people seem to. He's a pretty decent actor IMO

ahahahahaha, the media takes it too far? it's the media's fault?
he's the one who hooked up with jen, he's the one that became a big star, he's the one making money from being famous... and with fame comes the media, what did he expect? the media to simply leave him alone? |

I would have said being married 17 times has hurt Lopez more than being in the spotlight has.
Affleck should get a decent role, maybe then his cred would rise a tad. |

Ben Affleck is the man. He is a good actor. You ****ing idiots are jumping on the "we hate Affleck and J'Lo" bandwagon.

Matt Damon is a way better actor then Affleck, but Aflleck isn't TERRIBLE. Good Will Hunting is the best movie with Affleck in it.

I like both Damon and Affleck. But I must say, and I think it's rather obvious, that Damon makes much better career choices with the scripts he chooses than Affleck. Granted, some of his movies have done rather poorly as well, but at least those were films that not only had the potential to be good but also challenged Damon.
Forces of Nature didn't really challenge Affleck much nor did it ever seem as though there was potential in it to be any good. But they're both cool dudes in my book. And being from Boston, I gotta give'em the |

I like Affleck. He was good in Changing Lanes, Dogma, The Sum of All Fears, and I thought Paycheck was at least halfway decent.

Affleck is all right. Dogma,Good Will Hunting, Changing Lanes and Paycheck were all good movies.
And I agree that the Beniffer marriage was over hyped. The only thing I could see bad comming for his acting career was Gigli(which I didn't bother seeing) with Jlo. |

He can't act for balls. Hollywood thinks he's so special because he won an Oscar for Good Will Hunting along side his homosexual partner Matt Damon for BEST SCREENPLAY. That doesn't mean he's a decent actor.
He's probly the worst leading actor of all time. The only reason they keep puting him on screen is because of his looks (much like Brad Pitt) |

He probably would have scraped up some of his career if he made a good movie since his breakup, and we can't blame everything on Gigli....what about Paycheck?

Hilarious how that the Ben-J'Lo thing is over, we're back to Ben-Matt Damon. Strange. Creepy.
Anyway, I dn't think Affleck is that bad an actor. But I've only seen him in "Dogma". I suppose I like the fellow because he doesn't really look the part of a movie star. He had more of a "Local Boy Done Good" vibe to him. |

Pearl Harbor was a good film. Sorry, I can't say that with a straight face.
That film he was in with Samuel L Jackson was OK. Dogma is good. I don't understand why people even bother with Jennifer Lopez in the first place. Of course you are going to be in the papers everyday. |

I'm still kinda annoyed about Paycheck, why did he do a cheap rip off of the Bourne Idenity. Whats next, him doing a crappy rip off of Ocean's 11?
