WWE + the Most Unexpected Angle
I think what the WWE needs is to add something new and something totally unexpected...
So here is what I suggest. Tonight is the Great American Bash. WWE Championship - Texas Bull Rope Match Eddie Guerrero V. John Bradshaw Layfield This feud should continue until Summer Slam. Have Guerrero win this match but have him win by disqualification. Yes, I think I'm crazy but set up another match between the two at Summer Slam in a Cage Match Loser Leaves the WWE. Obviously JBL loses and we never have to see him again. Guerrero needs a new challenge. Kurt Angle institutes another Royal Rumble match to determine the Number One Contender at the next SD only PPV. Three Men are left in the match... say RVD & Cena are already battling it out in the ring. Then they both double eliminate each other. The referee's and announcers forgetting that there is another competitor argue over who is the winner... another Hart/Luger or Guerrero/Cena thing. Then all of a sudden... 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..... Paul London comes out as the last man enters the ring and is declared the winner and NEW Number#1 Contender. Everyone is in aww including London who didn't even have to do anything in the match in order to gain his shot. Since most fans have never really seen London so the people will be surprized. Have him win some matches but then have him also lose some matches so the fans are kinda iffy on him. Although, they'll love him because on his in-ring style. Then at the Smack Down PPV in the main event WWE Championship Guerrero V. London I know its a long shot. I'm not sure how most fans would react. I'd go crazy for it and buy the PPV for SURE no questions asked... but how do you think the casual fan would respond and do you think they'd pay to see it??? |

The casual fan, IMO, expects to see big names in the main event... If this were to happen, they would have to push London for a few months before hand... Very few wrestlers get over without a push for atleast a few months... Lesnar is the exception...
Plus, this Texas Bullrope Match has no DQs... So, that pretty much gets rid of the need for a another match, because most gimmick/no dq PPV matches end feuds... I see this feud going on longer, though, atleast until SummerSlam... A big swerve I see coming is Bradshaw actually becoming champion... The fans will hate it, but he's been getting alot of heat lately, which is mostly what a wrestler in WWE nowadays needs... I could see Bradshaw winning tonight, with a big rematch at SummerSlam where Eddie regains the title... I can pretty much safely say that it would be a HUGE suprise to many if Bradshaw wins the title... |

But I also think that once most fans see Paul London's high flying style (but he can also mat wrestle very well too) then they will get behind him. They may not see him as a HUGE big name but I think they'd tune in to see this relatively new guy. JBL surely isn't a BIG name yet he already has 1 BIG main event under his belt and has another 1 tonight. FMaybe I do to change up the iffy part and have him win solid victories over some people. I just think it would create the ultimate underdog match. The fans would buy the PPV because once they see what he can do they'll fall in love with him. Guerrero V. London would work.
