Anyone with good guitar fixing techniques

How do you adjust string action and intonation on a guitar so it doesn't look like the strings are an inch off the fret board and so I don't get horrible fret buzz?

Yeah I have this acoustic, and the strings are so far that it hurts. The neck is bent, I don't think there's any way to fix it.

I'm sorry I can't help you Smitty, but on one of my old guitars I had this thing with a screw by where the strings ended that would make them closer. Fucked up the tuning though.

Lower the bridge and adjust it so that the twelfth fret harmonic plays the same note as the twelfth fret fretted.
