Spyware help...
Norton has picked up lycos ss.exe (adware keeval) on my computer. I've attempted to remove it through norton, and attempted to follow their instructions...It tells me to use add/remove programs to remove the file (In safe mode). It's not there, however, leaving me stuck for a result.
Anyone know what to do? (System: windows 98 SE, I can proviide other details). ![]() --John Rogers |

Not to be a smartass, but can you even have a "hidden file" in the add/remove programs settings?
The link doesn't work because it won't show up in my task manager (The site itself says win9X does that). |

The only reason I was doing it on Norton is because it caught it, whereas AA didn't. I'm runnin gan updated search since Funk mentioned he got it, so my fingers is crossed. |

Yeah, I should mention that McAfee Viruscan picked it up but couldn't remove it. Make sure that you set adaware toscan at startup.
