So I went to this site and got a bunch of things it tells me to download, but I just ask, can it do any harm? Should I download everything it tells me to? Just general questions.

yeah, generaly you should do everything that windows update says, just avoid the driver updates. A lot of people have had problems with that. I would rather check with the manufacturers web site for drivers of any paticular hardware.
I had a modem that windows updated and it screwed my over no end, i ended up with two conflicting drivers for the same thing, that I couldnt remove.. hassles hassles hassles. At the moment windows update is telling me to do my video card when I know full well that I have the latest drivers from nvidia. |
