I finally saw Almost Famous
I wanted to see it since it first came out but just never really got around to it for whatever reason. I finally rented it today. OMG, this movie is beyond great. I'm definatly putting it in my top 20 movies of all time (Which doesn't just happen with every movie I see). Seriously, it is BRILLIANT. Think I may just go 10/10 on IMDB with it. And I've only rated 12 movies out of 595 a 10.

Did we watch the same Almost Famous?
It was ok. You're the first person I've ever heard from who has actually endorsed the hype it gets from people who tell you how great it is when you haven't seen it and they have. Usually people go "what the fuck are you talking about". |

I loved it, personally. Of course, I'm a writer and a '70s music geek, so this one was right up my alley. The kid was annoying, but beyond that, I really really enjoyed it.

I was afraid it would end up being overhyped but as crazy as critics and such were about it, it lived up to it all. It was scrumtrilescent.
And I though the kid did a good job. |

I watched it again and decided to give it a 9 on IMDB. Still pretty great though.

Movies ok I suppose. I caught it late at night a few months back, but didn't really agree with they hype its getting. Kate Hudson was really hot in it though.

I thought it was really good, not a 10 though. Think I gave it an 8.

I heard so much hype about it that when I finally saw it, it was a letdown. Still a decent flick, but not the calibre that people make it out to be.

Great movie. Philip Seymour Hoffman again in a part that few will ever recognize him in.

I just watched it last night. Good soundtrack and good characters, but a pretty boring plot. I'd give it about 7/10

And you are made to believe the current music scene is actually good when it is nothing compared to the good ol' days. It's sad that so many kids think today's music is good, even though the bands today rip off the classic bands sounds. And the only original stuff a new-school artist can think of is where he sings about raping and/or killing someone, which in turn motivates kids to go blow up their schools. Notice there were never any school shootings in the 70's. Only violence that was caused was when Nixon tried to make innocent people fight in a useless war. |

I thought you were serious up until this part. I can't believe it took me that long to figure out this was sarcasm. |

According to the credits, Mitch Hedberg plays the Eagles' Road Manager. I couldn't seem to find him in the movie though.
