Favorite Baseball Team....
First, i apoligize if this has been done before. Anyways, i have an idea of who some poster's like, but what i'd like to know is who you like, when did you start to like that team, and why? I like the Yankee's. When i first started watching baseball and understanding how it was played and which team was which, was back in 86. My older brother was watching the World Series between the Met's and the Red Sox. I don't know why, but i was rooting for the Met's, but anyway, i was hooked on baseball from then on. I started collecting baseball card's and i became a big fan of Don Mattingly. I would watch as many Yankee games as possible just to watch him play. Obviously watching the Yanks play i became sweep away with all of the Yanks history. From that point on, even though the Yanks were horrible back then, I've been a Yankee fan.

Yankees

I live in CT and theres no baseball team. Basically everyone is either a Red Sox, Mets, or Yankees fan. I've always liked them probably because it is easy to go to their games and since as far back as I can remember their games are always shown here, so its a lot easier to follow them.

Pretty weird because my older brother has always been a Mets fan, and my Dad just likes the Sox because I don't. My younger brother just likes Seattle.

Cubs/D'Backs (they are about equal)

Cubs because when I started into baseball (93) we didn't have a team here...and they always showed the Cubs on WGN on those long summer afternoons...and even though they sucked, they were the most accessible team there was...and they had Sammy Soooosaaaaaaa (who is still my favorite position player)

D'Backs, because, well, shit, I'm from Phoenix.
