Did you mean to make a poll?
If not, I'd say Stone Cold. |

Where is Ric Flair?
It has to be The Rock because he beat Hogan at WM18 right? ![]() Seriously though, I will say Hogan because he made wrestling mainstream, and if he didn't do it first, then the other guys on your list might not have been able to. |

Hulk made wrestling what it is today, Stone Cold got everyone into it, The Rock just builds on that. Or used to. Take your pick.

Perhaps all 3 divided.
Even better question--which makes the best heel? |

Besides Randy Orton.......
Its The Rock. People in todays age know about Rocky. Movies Movies Movies. Hulk is a close second. People know Hulk but the knowledge of him will fade quickly. The Rock is more successful in other areas than Hulk. Plus what the hell else is Austin do except Mad TV? |

Out of that list I would have to go with Hogan. I think he is more known than the others and I feel that his legacy will be around for a long time. He will remembered just like Flair will be.

It's tough to say. Time will tell on that one because The Rock is still going and the others are squashed out.
I want to say Austin for a number of reasons, and I want to say Hogan for a number of reasons, and I want to say Rock, but, it's just too close to call. And by the way, The Rock didn't "build on" anything, he could draw money to this day by showing up at a PPV to take a shit. I'm sure Austin could too. Hogan is already done with. |

The Rock, since even non-wrestling fans know who he is.

i'd have to give the nod to hogan. he's done it longer and is just as recognized if not more so then the others. thing is, i think there's probably more opportunity nowadays than there was when hogan first broke out. rock needs to keep doing this for another 10 years or so to be in serious contention IMO. |

Stone Cold drew the crowds to a dying WWE. In my opinion, he is the biggest wrestling icon, as proved by the fact that the sound of glass shattering or the mention of his name would send the crowd into a frenzy.

My 79 year old grandmother knows who Hulk Hogan is. He had his own cartoon for god's sake, and was in some movies that bombed the ass. I go with Hulk, just because no matter how long wrestling lives on for, Hogan will ALWAYS be the first thing associated with the business.

Hogan was huge in the 80's and early 90's. Steadily declined, but nothing was like when the glass broke or you heard that "if ya smell...", the crowd blew up every time for each guy when that music hit. They each have their different periods of greatness.

There is one person that is not on that list; that person is The Heartbreak Kid. His matches alone rank him up there with Rock, Austin and Hogan. He was always entertaining on the mic whether it be as the typical babyface, cocky heel, or just plain smartass. He was the very first Grand Slam winner, not to mention the fact he was in so many first time matches. Think about it; he was in the first ladder match, first Hell In The Cell, First Iron Man Match and the First Elmination Chamber. Not to mention he was the first man to go from 1 to 30 in the Royal Rumble. So even though I'm not his biggest fan, I believe that you cant mention the word icon and not mention Shawn Micheals

Hogan. Ever notice how EVERYBODY knows who Hulk Hogan is? When I first started dating my gf she never watched wrestling. But she knew who Hulk Hogan is. She heard of the Rock but didn't know who he was until I showed her. I think a lot of people are the same way.
Here's another way to descirbe it. Most people in at least North America (maybe just canada) know who Wayne Gretzky is even if they don't watch hockey. Not everybdoy knows who Mario Lemuix is. |

It is Hogan but to some people Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels or even The Undertaker could be their icons. But I will forever love The Rock
I also love my Stone Cold Hell Yeah dvd.

A lot more people are thinking of the Rock as a movie star nowadays. His connotation with wrestling is leawving him.
I'd say Hulk Hogan. When you think of this guy, you think wrestling. Pure and simple. |
