Eddie suffering Anxiety & Stress
Feel so sorry for the guy, second guessing himself and worrying himself silly about whether he was doing a good job as WWE Champion. You'd think people would tell him that he's done the best job he could do under the circumstances on SD.

Maybe thats why they took the title off him so soon. I hope not.

I think they took it off him when they did because he was getting pretty banged up, also consider that he had it for four months, which is a looooong time for a title run anymore, especially when you're defending it as often and as intenesely as he was.

The Guerrero thing is pretty funny actually.

When the number for JD came out and it was quite low, it seems like the company came down hard on Eddie and Eddie himself felt the pressure of being on the brand that is going to sh#%. But as time went on, ratings started to stabalize, okay house show numbers are still in the toilet, but its the same on RAW as well, and the biggest shock GAB did a respectable number. However, they had already decided to take the title off him. As it turns out Eddie as champion from a PPV and TV numbers POV was doing fine.

On the other side of the coin, over on RAW, the numbers have been going south. TV ratings fell off their heights after the draft (they've kinda stabalized now), house show numbers are in the toilet and the RAW PPV numbers are going south. So it looks like Hunter on top along with Benoit as champ is doing about the same number wise as Eddie on SD, but when you consider the company has pusblically stated they see RAW as superior to SD its not a good sign. Of course HHH will never lose his spot, and never take any blame, so I think thats why we'll see Benoit drop the title in short order (tomorrow or the PPV as is rumoured).

But its interesting to me that Eddie kinda took heat for the numbers, even though clearly it wasn't his fault, and now it seems like the people liked him as champion. So that tells me he'll get it back at some point (maybe Mania maybe sooner).

I am quite confidnt that Latino Heat will get the title back. If he doesn't it will be a f****** travesty since he did such a good job as champion.

Good points,

This reminds me of something that was said after Mania this year, basically the quote was along the lines of RAW bookers book on a show to show basis whilst Smackdown goes in for the more drawn out storylines. And from the numbers both brands are now getting it's safe to say that Smackdown are doing a good job, even if they do have a peice of shit for a champ.

Ironic really as Viacom are now thinking about not taking out a contract renewal on RAW as it's now the lesser show (ratings wise)

We should start like a big email letter to reassure Eddie. He deserves better than to second guess himself if he is. He's an awesome, respectable guy who's pulled himself together and has become one of the few top guys who are admired as a wrestler and as a person.

Eddie, IMO, should have kept he belt till Summerslam at least. Giving the belt to JBL was the worst thing the WWE could have done.

I don't think that giving the title to JBL was a bad idea, but it is something fresh. He is doing a great job as champion, and I will admit that I thought he would be utter crap. He is obviously below average in wrestling ability, but his character somewhat makes up for it. People hate him for a variety of reasons, and he as champ is working. Eddie was getting very stressed out, and he has been working less lately. He was carrying the Smackdown brand, and did an amazing job, so now he deserves some time to rest. His feud with Angle will be a classic, and I am sure that he will be in the title scene a month or two after Summerslam.
